Plays in the Czech league. 2nd in league scoring only to Roman Cervenka. He signed an extension with his Czech club, but per the press release there are out clauses for playing abroad. Former 6th round pick in 2011 by the Canadiens.

Number 74 in this video if you can pick him out

Well, the last time we gave a Czech guy in Euro league a shot, he turned out to be exactly what the doctor ordered. If it ain't broke don't fix it right?

Wouldn't be shocked if they signed him as he does fit a need. I wouldn't expect a lot out of him either. Might be a decent 2nd/3rd line RW. Quality young depth is always welcome.

To be fair, Cervenka was small, slow, injured, and the wrong position. He still managed around half a PPG, which could have been worse.

I believe he was referring to Nakladal.

At that weight he's not going to keep up in the NHL. I doubt a 23 year old at 238 is in nhl shape

238lbs may be misleading, his Czech team lists him at 215.

Now. Doubtful at 23. Again, I didn't say it's impossible, just doubtful

I was semi excited until reading Cervenka has more points. He does look like he has some decent skill. Footage looks like it's from the 90s though so who knows if I seen anything correct.

You can find scouting reports from Habs websites via google. Most will say he lacks strength and non-existent physical play

Keep in mind a lot of those reports are 5 years old and obviously things may have changed since then if 6 or more NHL teams are interested.

Five years ago, he was also listed at 6'2" and 189lbs. I would wager a lot has changed since then.

Judging by his PIMs I doubt the physical play has changed much. Took a big step up this year in points. Give it a shot.

Seems like this guy came over one year and played with the Avs from that team - http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=57045

Not directed at you as this is a common comment, but I personally find it silly. How many pims a guy gets really doesn't say anything about how he plays (unless he's getting a lot of pims).

I care more about how he handles physical play, and how much he competes.

A Czech RW with a PPG in the Czech league is probably not going to be the Flames answer to team toughness.

It isn't always about points - it is how it translates.

Also, while Jagr was playing with Cervenka, who got more points? Cervenka. By that logic, Jagr should never have returned to the NHL.

I am also of the opinion that Cervenka didn't get much of a chance here in Calgary. He came injured (blood clots), didn't get the benefit of the full camp, fell out of favor with Hartley, and just never managed to get it going. Still at half a point a game, it isn't like he bombed. He just wasn't the answer to the Flames' 1st line center problem like Feaster intimated at the time he was signed.
