Found the quote here.

Quote:
“I’ve never missed a game to an injury,” Gaudreau said Thursday.

Think about that.

Despite the fact he has almost always been the smallest player on the ice as well as the biggest target, he went through three years of top-level college hockey against men several years older than him without getting seriously hurt.

Same goes for his time at the world juniors and even the world championships last spring when he played some men who were 15 years older than him.

“I played in the USHL (United States Hockey League — the top U.S. junior loop) and played all 60 games and all playoff games, too,” said the 5-foot-9, 160-lb. forward.

“Even when I was younger, the only time I missed a game was if I was sick. I’ve been really fortunate and lucky that way. I want to keep that going.”

Well 19,000 fans were booing, and Gaudreau just left the puck and skated to the bench hunched over in pain.

So I would say probably the only people that didn't think it was much were the 2 refs.

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
#Flames callup Hunter Shinkaruk: "I’ve dreamed of this for a long time and putting on this logo for the first time is pretty cool."

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
Hunter Shinkaruk's parents, Roger and Patricia, are en route to Arizona to see his #Flames debut.

That quote was from October, 2014. He was scratched due to injury in April, 2015.

Ughh... the hacking at Johhny wouldn't be so annoying if it wasn't so predictable. No enforcers but inadequate punitary measures equals cheapshots on the skill players.

Seen Johnny and Sean take over 10 cheapshots now, good work NHL. Keep protecting your most valuable assets.

after all the discussion about the Flames' decision to take Poirier instead of Shinkaruk, it will be really interesting to see them both play for the same team. Hope they can impress.

Not to belabor the point, but it looks like he might have been a healthy scratch that night.

The players who were called up wouldn't have been able to play if he was a healthy scratch because they were up on Emergency recalls (same as tonight).

Well if Johnny's out I say we go full Feaster and do a line of Shinkaruk - Monahan - Poirier.

HYPE!

Hoping Gaudreau isn't out long as I really want to see Gaudreau-Monahan-Poirier

For people with better memories than me (or better Google skills), have we ever seen those 3 on a line before?

No need to jump Keith, just give him a Regehr two-hand across the ribs. That will give him pause for thought.
