Pretty stoked to get a glimpse of Shinkaruk in a Flames Jersey. I'll be watching Poirier tonight as well in the hopes that he shows better than he did last season. Fun times for the Flames, at least we get a little excitement watching these young'ens come in a try to impress.

This team really needs to start standing up for Johnny on the regular. Jooris did it recently, but I can't think of anyone who did it before him.

I imagine it might have something to do with Jankowski. Once he and Gilmour signs, the Flames will have extra players and they won't be able to use the emergency call up the way they've been using it. They probably hoped to have Janko and Gilmour sign the AHL deals but it looks like they won't settle unless they get the NHL deals; therefore, the Flames are forced to "see" they guys they want now before they lose their emergency call up options.

Agreed. Take an instigator penalty, who cares. Just show them that if they take liberties they're at least going to get a face full of stinky hockey glove and some wrestling, a couple wacks. Somebody should have jumped Keith.
I just wish StreetPharmacist would agree

To be fair, I think most people on the ice, including the refs, didn't see Keith's hatchet job as anything unusual.
We also don't know that Johnny's injury has anything to do with it.

Hope it's not serious with Johnny. Keith is such a cheap POS, I certainly wouldn't shed a tear if someone knocked him out of the lineup with a cheap shot.

Shame the other winger on that top line is known for his finesse and hockey smarts rather than truculence. Instead of working on toe drags and back passes, Ferland needs to hold guys like Keith to account.

Ferland wasn't on that line that game. It was Hamilton.
