Its just awkward looking.

chance for Liverpool winning the Europa league making it 5 PL teams in CL and yet no Chelsea (plus still potentially a chance for no Pep/City)

If De Gea were human, it would have been a blowout.

Villa on sunday and Bournmouth the sunday after that, no clue why they couldnt go full strength for these and rest a few for each of those
|
I just finished watching this, and it was pretty bad. As soon as I saw the line-up I figured it was going to be ugly. Dortmund was just all over them and they could've (and probably should've) scored a few more for sure.
I think it was a good decision though because the battle now is to ensure they qualify for Champions League. Some of the players rested today have played a lot of minutes. Sure, its Villa, and Spurs should crush them. Thing is that Villa has managed to get draws against West Ham, Leicester and Man City at home this year. So while it would be nice to see something closer to the Liverpool result for Spurs fans, its not a guarantee. I also think that if they put their entire top squad out there today, lost, and then played to a draw or loss on Sunday it would be a complete disaster.
All the pressure is on Spurs now to perform. The top players basically all got their rest, so now they have to win the next couple of games to prove that was a good idea.

Thankfully, I didn't get to see it but the headline on the beeb tells me all I need to know.

Liverpool beat Manchester United with a high energy display.

Taking nothing away from Liverpool but that's all you need to beat a van Gaal United. They've got zero energy, zero intensity and it's not as if they can make up for it by having a gameplan.
Got a philosophy though, apparently.

Barca continuing with their amazing form as of late with 37 consecutive wins, hopefully making it 38 against Arsenal later this week.
In other news: What the heck happened with Diego Costa & Gareth Barry? I don't watch any EPL games but saw a quick clip where Costa appears to bite Barry. He got sent off in the game but did he actually bite him & if so, how many games suspension will he get for it?

Yeah, I saw that report also. It looked like he did as he went in for his neck with his mouth opened. Still, Costa is dirty.

I love the fact that TSN is broadcasting Arsenal vs. Barca on 3 of their 5 channels and no Bayern vs. Juve.
Love that. Love it.

They don't have the rights to it. It's on our beloved BeIn sports again.
Something really needs to change with this system. It costs way too much to get all the channels to watch these games.

Another special channel that Shaw just refuses to carry.

Arsenal don't have the mettle to take care of business tonight. Consequently, I'm expecting an Arsenal victory.

Juve up 1-0 inside 5 minutes, Neuer kinda crapped the bed there.
