Francis refuses to believe Weidman had a concussion, NO MATTER WHAT DOCTORS TELL HIM. What an idiot! Big over reaction by lots of people. TSN saying players may have a bullet in the chamber now against referees. Uh, OK. Francis angry at arbitrator for his decision.

That was one of the only things he said that he might actually be right about.

Actually, Francis might start making sense if he did a segment with Roger Millions while publicly intoxicated.

I keep seeing this argument on places like Reddit from Oran's of other teams, saying it will be open season on refs. How can anyone think that? Completely insane to come to that conclusion.
Yeah, you can go ahead and intentionally injure officials with no consequences... Except you will be suspended for a minimum of 20 games, lose lose 10-25% of your salary, be looked at as scum by hundreds of thousands of people, and probably permanently damage your career.
Totally worth it I guess?

People calling it a slippery slope when it has never been an issue in this league.

Can CP do another jihad and get this guy fired or transferred somewhere else?
Eric Francis is the biggest piece of trash to ever pick up a pen. Guy doesn't deserve to be affiliated with the Flames unless it's as a jock strap cleaner.

Besides all the reasons others gave on why Burke (e.g. Burke is a lawyer etc.) Treliving is busy scouting the OHL this week.
Believe he is in Kingston tomorrow.

I hope Henderson sues Wideman into the stone age. Wideman was classless throughout this incident IMO. Classless because of the hit itself, classless because of the text he wrote......what a slimeball. I'm embarrassed that he's a member of the Calgary Flames.

You joined 1 month ago, and have a total of 3 posts. All about the Wideman incident. How do you think this post is going to go for you?
Wideman has been nothing but class, minus the text message, which was likely purely out of frustration. He is a professional and has acted like it. I'm embarrassed that you call yourself a Flames fan. What a ridiculous post.

I am not going to get into mudslinging with fellow forum members that do not share my point of view. While its true that I just recently joined this forum and have only posted in regards to the Wideman incident, I have only done so because I staunchly believe that what Wideman did was on purpose and therefore reprehensible. I don't believe the concussion arguement for one second. Again, I understand that many on this forum don't share my view but I won't resort to name calling if you have a dissenting opinion.

What a joke!! The guy sat for 19 games already before the final decision was made. I thought he only deserved 10 games. NHL really screwed up on this suspension. I bet ref will give him a penalty everytime he hit someone.
