If that's how you read it. I wasn't implying you're an oilers fan, only that I can't cheer for losses the way that fan base does. I know you're a Hawks fan, hell everyone here knows that.

This never ending argument over who's a better fan for cheering for losses/wins never gets annoying. A few more Oiler fan references would be great. It's riveting stuff, keep it coming please. Hopefully all the GDTs and GTs from now until the end of the season can get filled up with this interesting debate.

So, what...if you go to the Dome to watch a game, you cheer for the opponent? You're happy when we allow a goal? Boo the Flames when they score?
Can any of these 'big picture' fans, explain to ne how this works? Because, I don't get it.

I'm the best fan because I'm cheering for them to lose AND I'm happy if they win. So I win.

Posts like this are just as annoying. Just ignore it if it bothers you.
It's just a reality that this debate comes up in seasons like this.

I wonder how bad the Flames get screwed over by the refs tonight with Wideman back on the ice.
Conspiracy theory should dictate that the Flames are on the PK for the full game?

I was born in '89. Just because I wasn't genetic material in my dads balls makes you a better fan than me? Take your own advice and get bent. I've been a fan since I can remember.
And by the way, I'm cheering for a win tonight. I won't be disappointed with a loss of the boys play well at least.
I can't stand "fans" that claim to be better than other fans. Cheer for your team and shut the hell up otherwise. You aren't better than anyone else just because you're old.

Furlatt the ref tonight by chance?
Wasn't there a site that can tell us who is officiating what games?

It's tense in here.
Hopefully a loss tonight will calm everyone's nerves.

Tongiht we get Kozari and Pochmara. I like Kozari. He seems to call an even game, and lets the players play to a point.

It kind of reminds of people who get into petty arguments about how to properly celebrate Christmas. The stores put up their decorations too early!! That guy doesn't put up decorations at all!! Boycott Starbucks, they are using a plain holiday cup so they must hate Christmas!! That guy is an atheist, he shouldn't have a Christmas tree!! And it just goes on and on.
I say if you want to be a Flames fan (or not) that's great, cheer for the team how ever the hell you want.

He HAS to play. Sounds like Engelland is now healthy so Engelland and Wideman have to be inserted and Wotherspoon has to be sent to the AHL because we are no longer in an emergency situation on the defense.

Unless Engelland stubs his toe in the warmup.

You missed my point by orders of magnitude. Age has zero bearing on good fan bad fan. Hell this entire thing was never a "who's the better sportsball fan". All I was saying that I am a lifelong fan of the team and will not cheer for losses ever.
Way to take this in a completely unrelated direction tho. Not every post on this site is intended to offend you.
