A 'D' for David? He gets at least a 'C+' from me.

Otherwise, great writeup.

To me the bigger issue was how he constantly backed into the zone waiting for the shot block
That was my only complaint with Russell - backed in too much and gave up the blueline and top of the slot without enough resistance.

That isn't necessarily true and that doesn't diminish the value of what's out there no matter how much you dislike it.

Well so now we have 1 scoring line, 1 checking line and 2 fourth line grinding type lines. Pressure is on Johnny and Mony tonight.

Correct. We need this loss - 'this' meaning this stupidity of cheering losses.

That was awful.

A regulation win tonight would be a 2 spot jump up the standings. You can choose to cheer for that.. I won't.

I cheer for the Flames to win. 100% of the time I cheer for this. I can NOT, WILL NOT succumb to cheering for losses regardless. I am simply not built that way. I am a Flames Fan, not an Oilers fan.

I am a 'big picture' fan, not a 'today' fan.

If that's the road you want to go down.

Get bent. I've been a fan of this team since 1980. I am a lifetime fan. What a bunghole thing to say.

With Wideman suspension being reduced to 10 per @RealKyper, he’ll be eligible to play tonight. Wotherspoon would have to be re-assigned.

There's gonna be some weird looking pairings for this game.

Unless our doctors rule that Engelland isn't ready. Then we could just sub in Wideman for Brodie.

That's what I expect. Or else a little NHL relief for the roster size given the timing.
