The difference between the HOF and this is that the HOF is for the players. Are you going to do up a plaque? Or throw a phone call the way of the players honoured? If so, maybe we're getting somewhere, if not, it's a tree falling in the forest with nobody around to hear it.
The distinction between the official and unofficial designation of the best players as decided by a message board is mostly irrelevant. It doesn't need to be officially voted on to have the same importance. If you can tell me why it would be different, I'd listen.
Just my opinion though, you asked.

My three CP Friends are Springs1, jhunt and VERVE. I vet my friends very carefully. I chose the username Mister Yamoto to troll Philly06cup for his epic "Yamoto bakery harassment"
thread . That alone should be enough to get me on the ballot for worst CP poster if it happens.
If only I had been able to get Strombad to accept a friend request. Then I would have an idiot 4fecta (TM) on my resume.
