If you had to pick one dman to play for the Flames out of this bunch, who would you choose?
Glen Featherstone
Cale Hulse
Chris Butler
Greg Smyth
David Hale
Dan Keczmer
Hahaha, just sitting here remembering then typing those names made me laugh.

It's the worst voting system I can imagine. You really want to spend time doing up a spreadsheet and counting out written votes to get a top 8, followed by counting individual votes to make sure nobody voted an extra time?
You're interesting.

You don't have to be a dick about it. Yes the process he's thinking of is flawed, but a CP Hall of Fame is actually a cool idea. CP is the unoffical, official fan group of the Flames. We should have an official Hall of Fame.
The voting process could be as simple as this though. Bingo himself chooses let's say 7 or 8 guys every year that have been retired at least 3 years. The the user base votes, and the top 2 vote getters get into the Hall of Fame.
Then he does the same thing next year. I think we all trust Bingo enough to choose suitable candidates year after year.

That's a stellar idea.

It's actually much simpler than you've made it seem. However, what system would you propose? It's just a concept, you know.
|
I propose no system, I think it's a pointless idea (mostly because everyone knows who the best players are, and these sorts of things are usually to honour the player, so what is the point if it isn't for them?). If it's run by you, you're going to have a pile of people not taking it seriously (see: this thread, David Jones thread). Otherwise, it's a decent amount of effort to ask someone else to do.

^ I meant one that pertains to the Flames directly.

No he wasnt, he was genuinely infuriating.
"Look! Eriksson is on the point, clear the puck around the boards!"
Not the boards! How do they know my greatest weakness?!?!?! No human can keep the puck in once its going along the boards!

After reading some of the suggestions above I guess no one should be surprised that someone like Donald Trump could possibly be President of the US.

I get that there's a history with the Jones thing - which I was 100% serious about, by the way - but let me assure you that I am being wholly genuine with this idea.
Everyone knows who the best players in NHL history are, too - are you telling me that we should get rid of the Hall of Fame in Toronto?
