While there we found a book, Necronomiconexmortis, roughly translated, the Book of the Dead. Inked in human blood and bound in human flesh it was never meant for the world of the living. The book awoke something in the woods, something evil."

Sounds like a great gift for your significant other! I figure nothing says "I love you" like a book of cadavers!
Now someone ask me why I'm single right now...

I wonder why no one has bothered to post a link to the thread about the foiled "sex with a corpse" plot.
In any event, I'm sure you could send this off to those three dudes and they'd be happy to have it.

Take some of the pictures out an look at the back of them, there might be more info on there. It was probably an older persons book. My grandma has a few pictures of relative in the coffin, she's from 'the old country' and is about 90.

I'm thinking you might run that by a mod 1st, before you unnecessarily awake the evil spirits by exposing them to a scanner.

When my grandmother died we got a bunch of her old photo albums. She also had a bunch of pictures of departed people in coffins, etc. I think that some people used to take a pictures like that in years gone by.
I wouldn't let it bother you or your friend to much.

$20 says they'd try and sell it at one of their $0.50 book sales.

My father has one of those books. It's got photos dead relatives dating back to the early 1900's. The ones that bother me the most are the ones of the babies.
I'm not sure what the point is, and it is not a tradition that I plan on keeping.

I want to see pics as well.
I was going to say Ebay as well. But looks like someone already thought of that.

That ebay idea is great. We could have a pool at CP trying to guess how much it will sell for!

When I was a teenager, I dated a girl who showed me pictures of her mother's funeral. I'm not easily disturbed but yikes, it creeped me out. I couldn't look at her the same after that. We split up.
If the previous owners of the house don't want the book, then send it to those grave-robbing corpse-fornicators in Wisconsin. It'll give 'em something to look at (maybe fantasize about) behind bars.

Ok, I convinced my friend to scan the images. Frankly, I'm more than a little creeped out by those pictures. The child pic was especially creepy. He just looks like he's sleeping in his little coffin.
Another funny note, my friend is terrified of the basement now. Looks like the previous owners didn't really clean out the basement and left a lot of junk down there. Isn't there a law against this?
