There were multiple rumours of NHL GM's massively overvaluing him, so I wasn't surprised that they got more than they objectively should have for someone who isn't particularly good at hockey. NHL execs can be downright irrational about certain types of players.

I'm glad Joki was honest about how he felt. Says a lot for him, appreciate that far more than some made up rubbish about him not being disappointed at being traded from a contender to a bottom feeder. Most kids would lie in that situation, least he was open about it.

This is when I like our organisation. He's coming into a good room of players. All the new additions have had no issues settling in with the team, he'll be no different. I think anyone really holding that comment against him needs to get a grip.
