Imagine if the price of oil didn't tank what Russell would have got.

Not unless he takes a paycut.

Aside Kevin, Pakki should be a good nickname, too, as it is means a d-man in the Finnish spoken language.

Chicago is good but this isn't basketball, playoffs are tough in the NHL and favorites lose all the time

I like Loubo, but that was terribly uncomfortable in the intro.

FFS, talk about the trade...we all knew Russell was going...all of us. he acts like it was a surprise.

There still remains some lingering feelings from them both.

Anyways, I'm happy with the trade...except i flip on the tv and sportsnet is interviewing messier and debrusk, and i have no idea what tsn was doing.

good trade.

A paycut from his very much rumored ask? Or a paycut from the 2.6M that he actually makes right now. Because asking for a paycut from 2.6M is completely unrealistic.

Can we throw in Wideman or Raymond with 50% salary retained?

Russell was very bad on the Flames, but he will certainly benefit under a different system.

We should not be surprised if his possession numbers improve on a better team with less responsibility.

Though, I really don't like the Stars blue line to begin with.

I hope, but something tells me Engelland will be in the lineup ahead of at least a couple of those guys.

Russell is the type of player who illustrates the flaws with some of these stats.

The condition isn't to make it to the Finals, it's to make it to the Conference Finals.
