How much does a decent 2nd bowl season ticket cost nowadays? I've never been in a financial position until now to even consider anything like that.

I had to move to the pl from 204 because of 2 wage cuts last year

Depends what you mean by decent.

Between the blue lines? Row 7 or lower?

There was a Season Ticket Holder survey that went out about 2-3 weeks ago. The questions were around whether or not you would renew. Incentives to renew. Value for the ticket cost. etc etc

I know that my responses were critical of the cost and value given the economy...I would guess that my comments were similar to most others.

Perhaps they listened?

The email includes directions on how to renew, with step #1 giving you a webpage to go to. After clicking on the link, there is the president's message.

the President's message

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

Thank you for your unwavering support and incredible passion; the C of Red continues to prove why our fans are the best fans in the NHL, every single game.

You will notice that your season ticket price has not increased from the 2015-16 campaign.

While we have not performed to our and your expectations to this point, our coaches and players will continue to deliver maximum effort during the stretch run. Our team management will also evaluate every possible way to improve your team for the present and the long-term.

This past off-season, we signed team captain Mark Giordano, Michael Frolik and Dougie Hamilton to long-term contracts. When combined with some of the most dynamic young players in the game (Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Brodie), we are well positioned for the future. This past summer, we began our quest for a new facility. CalgaryNEXT will be the globally recognized centerpiece of a revitalized West Village; we appreciate your voice as we move through the steps to make this incredible project a reality. We encourage you to visit www.calgarynext.com for updates as we move forward.

We value your commitment and appreciate that you have options to spend your entertainment dollars. Thank you for choosing us, we hope you continue and we will work hard every day to make you proud of the Flaming C.

Best regards and our sincerest thanks,

Anyone else not renewing? I'm surprised at what an easy decision it's been for me. After 16 years I thought I'd be a bit more torn but I'm done. Im not cancelling for financial or job loss reasons, I'm just sick of paying a lot of money to watch mostly crappy hockey.

Twice out of the first round...playoffs in only a handful of seasons...drafting in the top 10..I don't know, I'm just done with the mediocrity. Constant lineups, trucks in the concourse, and stale game day presentations are part of my beef too.

The whole CalgaryNEXT fiasco didn't help either. I always thought I'd have to give up my tickets when they built a new arena, as I imagined I wouldn't be able to afford seats, but it doesn't look like that will even be a concern for the next 5 to 7 years.

Anyway, I'm curious to hear the reasons other STH aren't renewing.

I renewed this morning. I am guessing over the next five years the Flames will be playing in many playoffs series. I want to be there for that. With Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Hamilton, and Brodie on the team, I think they'll have some chances to make deep runs. Obviously there are some holes, but I think they are trending in the right direction.

If last season and this season were swapped in terms of results, I think there would be much more optimism. I went into last year with no expectations, and they made the playoffs. I was hoping for playoffs this year, and am disappointed. It shows that rebuilds aren't always linear. It would be nice to get Auston Matthews in the draft, but even if we don't, there are some good picks high in the draft.

My biggest hope for 2016-17 is the goaltending situation is much better.

Easy decision to renew. I always have fun at the dome and it's days are numbered so I am going to enjoy it while we got it. Also, games last year like the LA clinch and the Vancouver game 6 win were examples of why being a season ticket holder is awesome.

$1,163.91 each seat.
Renewed this morning, I still enjoy going to the games and want to be assured a spot when (if?) the new arena is built.

I wonder what the renewal rates are like for the private boxes and many of the corporate STH'ers. The local economy must Flames brass worried about ticket revenues... maybe not this year (coming off of 2014/15) but certainly going forward.

Were renewing cause PL split by 4 is super cheap so cancelling wasn't even a question.

Don't really want more games and I actually think PL is way more convenient with two sets of it's own concession and washrooms.

If they regress more next season then I'll worry.
