MayRay doing his part to increase his trade value. Come on, Benning, you know you want to do it.

Heat up 2-1 on SD. Goals from Agostino (Hamilton, Hathaway) and Morrison (Kulak).

Kent Simpson in net.

Agostino's opportunity is right around the corner. Hope he seizes it.

Edit - they lose 3-2.
What? They are playing San Jose and won 6-5 and were never down 3-2 at any point.

Hopefully it helps his confidence because I think they are more likely to give him another shot with a year left on his deal.

Anyone catch the tilt between Torres and Heard? Looked like Heard caught a high hit from Raffi and got 2, 5, and 10.

Hilarious O.T goal by Raymond, I wonder if he planned to trick the goalie with his speed catching up to the puck.

Also can't wait to see Hamilton and Agostino with the big club. Freddie scored a goal from farther out than his brother has this year which is impressive. Also nice feed to Agostino for the easy goal. Hopefully they are both called up together at the deadline and are put on the same line with Backlund, Bennett or Stajan.

We're actually getting some good rivalries going with the teams we play a lot.

That is the best thing about the AHL's division heavy schedule. Teams really learn to despise each other and it makes games very entertaining.

If he can return to the level of play I saw a year ago, then he will. After how far he has fallen, I doubt he'll get another contract. He'll be one of the guys I'm watching to see how he responds as we head into the deadline and after.

I actually respect that a lot. It's easy to get down on yourself if you find yourself back to where you started. But Raymond keeps playing hockey even though he doesn't have the speed and skill anymore to play at the NHL level.

Hopefully he helps Stockton make the playoffs next season

Are the Heat in a playoff spot right now? If not, do they have a chance?

Heat are last in the division right now.

This pdf illustrates the playoff picture

http://cdn.rapidmanager.com/ahl/file...er_16Feb23.pdf

They need to start picking up points for playoffs. It is still possible for them considering all most all the teams they need to pass they play almost exclusively for the rest of the season.

Sportsclubstats only gives them a 23.8% chance at playoffs right now.

What do the lines look like these days? How does Shinkaruk slot in?

That level of play was probably due to the late season, new team, just turned pro no pressure situation we've seen plenty of players do well in before. It was a short stint and you shouldn't put any weight on that stretch of games whatsoever.

This morning on the Fan Huska indicated Shinkaruk would play with Shore and Poirier tonight.
