They are great at least for faraway/overseas fans like me. I feel somewhat like watching this game together when reading the game thread.

How else would we know what (the same 10) people think about how much they hate certain players?

Finally, they're expected so quickly after the game that there isn't time for him to really cull the best reactions of, not only fans, but players taking to twitter, coach reactions, etc.
I'm a West Ham fan and the West Ham board does something similar: they call it "The Opposition View" and it comes out about 24 hours after the match is done. Most of what they grab is from the post-match-threads from various sources, reddit, team forums etc. But I think that format is better than the Around the League. An example: http://kumb.com/story.php?id=129521
I can just go cruise HF if I want some Schadenfreude. If something is going to get stickied I'd like it to have some actual analytical value.

I wouldn't mind having post-game reaction posts like you suggest, but I also really like the ATL posts as they are. They're silly fun and fit the celebratory mood of post-win PGT:s well.
So you know. Why not both?

I'll add IMAX as well. Overpriced, no leg room, uncomfortable glasses, and absolutely 100% no noticeable difference in visuals or sound quality. Total rip-off.

People like 3D movies? I seriously do not know anyone who would choose to see 3D over 2D.

Only reason I pick 3D over 2D is cause the 3D version is always in theater with reserved seating.
I'll never see a busy movie without reserved seating again.

Patio dining in Calgary. As most patios are adjacent to a parking lot or busy street, I find it strange that so many people enjoy it.

Are there actually theatres out there that don't have assigned seating? I haven't had to line up for a movie in like 8 years.

Only the premium screens here have assigned seating and there's usually only 1 premium "large format" screen per theater so only the big movies are ever shown on those screens.
I have no idea why, I guess so that they can charge more?

I hate buying vehicles new and or leasing them. I'd rather buy one that's 3-4 years old with the previous owner eating a good portion of the depreciation.

I love drinking on patios - but agreed that eating usually sucks. Although the Bonterra patio is an exception.

This city needs more rooftop patios. There are a few very pleasant patios away from roads and traffic. But I prefer not to publicize their location, or it will become even harder to get tables there.

Cilantro is also a nice patio.

If you're hankering for some pub fare and cheap drinks, try the gateway at sait. They have arguably the best patio view in the entire city.

I'm not sure everyone likes it, but it seams to be a new trend... This new lightly roasted single origin flowery coffee crap, like Phil and Sebastian's or Stumptown. Ya, I know they are highly regarded, but I could barely finish my shot of espresso. So nasty. Give me a nice dark Italian stye espresso any day. There is a reason they blend their beans from different sources. It's called balance.
It's like North American roasters suddenly thought they figured out something that no one else knew, and barely warm their beans. News Flash. It's been roasted properly for hundreds of years because it tastes like crap if you don't. It's the whole over hopped IPA thing all over again, but now the coffee snobs are at it.
