I get what you're saying, but just consider this:
Hiller is gone at the end of the season. I doubt anyone claims otherwise.
So why not give Ortio the net until the end of the season to get a decent sample size of games and to give us a proper idea of what he is capable of.
You're argument i'd imagine is that Ortio doesn't deserve more starts. Well neither does Hiller, he's garbage. So, of the 2, which serves us better short and long term to give the net to? Ortio. If he doesn't take the chance, you let him go with a clear conscience.
But the argument for not starting Ortio is almost rendered moot because Hiller doesn't deserve to start either. So why not give the rookie a go, makes more sense to me.
