Just noticed that Horvat is a -30. Say what you will about plus minus, but -30 is BAD!
Horvat will be fine. It takes a couple of years to figure out how to play defense in the NHL, and you take your lumps while you're learning. Otherwise, he's one of the few guys on that team who has both talent and work ethic. Hard to put up numbers when the vast majority of your teammates are picking their noses and waiting for the trade deadline.
Draft lottery positioning and slim playoff hopes aside - it ALWAYS feels nice to slap the Canucks around.
I probably sound like an old man yelling at a cloud but these thread titles for a PGT really annoy me and just look childish and makes the site look bad IMO.
Comments or jokes like ones in the thread title should be a post in the thread not the thread title. I guarantee you the OP is 19 years old or younger. Just seems so amateur for such a well respected site especially among the media.
Have you ever seen the Sun? The media doesn't respect itself!

Yes, Horvat will be fine. But what Horvat will never be is a top-line NHL centre. It is still debatable whether he will be much more than a 2–3 line 'tweener, which is a serious problem for the Canucks moving forward since they have their hopes pinned on his development into an impact-eve top-six player.

Baertschi actually looked better than I thought he would be.
But the punk doesn't deserve any success. He is finding success now because he's finally playing the way the Flames asked him to, because he realized they were right. If he had listened and worked hard in Calgary like he is now, he'd be a fixture on Bennett's wing right now. Instead he had to bitch like a ##### and demand a trade and then bad mouth the Flames at every turn. I don't usually wish ill will to players but for Baerstchi, I do.
It's one thing to not be happy with the situation you are in and even ask for a change but to bad mouth the organization after they granted you your wish is pathetic.
He simply does not deserve any success.

That's sounds like strong butthurt. He used the only leverage he had to get a better shot. Hope he does ok, but never well as I don't want the Canucks to ever be good again
There were a lot of Canuck fans at the game last night. I had almost forgotten how annoying they were. So satisfying to beat them. Burrows is still a bum.

There was another stat from last nights game I liked - Gio now has 14 goals this year - which is the same as the entire Vancouver defence core put together!

I understand the sentiment as I don't enjoy seeing former Flames finding success elsewhere. But if the Canicks help Sven reach his potential maybe there is a learning here for the Flames. I wil admit in the last two games vs the Canucks he has looked better than I thought he would.

Wow. Note to self; Never piss off this guy. He will hold a grudge forever!!

I disagree. He appears to be over his head. He did not get enough time to develop because the Canucks were desperate to prove they were getting younger without rebuilding.
I don't think that they planned to gift him the 2nd line centre position, but Sutter has been hurt most of the year and shame on the Canucks for not having a better option.
The kid has to be demoralized at -30. This is exactly what the Canucks should have avoided. It's why Bennett played most of the season at wing.
If Monahan had struggled this much he would have been sheltered more, or demoted. Hell even the Oil sent Draisaitl back to figure it out.
Major fail by the Canucks.
