Kind of funny Corey Hirsch was talking about how big the goalie equipments are and suggested some changes. When he was playing he was one of those goaltenders who wear huge equipment. I do agree with him though. It is time to decrease the size of the goalie equipment.

Damn I cannot stand listening to this jerk Eric Francis.

♫ If I let in 500 goals
then I'd let in 500 more
just to be the guy who allowed a thousand ♫

"Hamilton! Passing! Blocked!" is not a phrase you'd ideally like to hear on the PP.

Defenses will sometimes break down, but if you ask me what was the more egregious error, it's the goaltending. No doubt in my mind.
Goal one is one timer from 4 feet out, from a player that's 3 feet from anyone in a red Jersey. That is a defenseman

Goal two is a shorthanded break again, uncontested from from ten feet out. Decent goalies save this more often than not, but it shouldn't have even happened without careless defending.

Goal three is a crazy deflection into the top in the net. Whatever

Goal four is another guy in the slot alone untouched with a one timer from behind the net. That doesn't happen twice a game without Oiler defending

[QUOTE=Street Pharmacist;5633257]Hiller has been bad, but the defense is waaaaaaaaaayyyyy more responsible here. Two goals on wide open one timers from 4 feet out and another was a partial break with a shot uncontested from 6 feet.

The flames defense is awful. Top 5 defense my ass[/QUOTE Someone with a true understanding of this team. Even Kipper would have a hard time making this d look decent!!

Yeah, I have no problem with it, just evaluating where he is at this point in time. I'm hopeful he can be a replacement for Smid or maybe even Wideman.
