WTF? On this message board, Nick Kypreos will never be more relevant than Miikka Kiprusoff.

The more I hear about Drouin, the more apparent it is that entitlement is the issue. I hope the Flames stay well away.

Far from it. WAY way way way way too early to start using the word bust and Drouin in the same sentence. WAY too early.

Saying both are trending to be busts is a false statement.

Saying they are trending towards career AHLers is a false statement. Klimchuk is a rookie pro. Poirier is only in his 2nd year.
Geez some people have zero patience at all. We should have traded Brodie before he broke into the NHL because he took more than a season to get there right?
RIDICULOUS thinking. Just because a player was taken in the first round does not make them a bust if they haven't made the NHL in the their first couple years of pro or have some adaptation period to pro.
Some of the comments in this thread are face palm worthy.

Do you remember (around 2005-2006??) when Iggy got into an epic toe-to-toe against Dion? It was fairly well publicized at the time. Probably one of the most devisive events ever for the group. The point of contention, from what I understand, was for the captaincy. At this point, Dion slapped Iggy down HARD. However, Iggy didn't go away. He tried again in 2009 for that role of leadership.
And then got completely shut down by Stephen Harper.
Edit: And, for the record, I don't mind Stephane Dion taking sole ownership of "Dion".

It doesn't mean he gets Kipper's nickname, especially on this board.

His Twitter is @RealKyper, so there really is no excuse for using "Kipper" here.

I'm not a fan of Nick Kyproes but he was in the NHL starting in 1989 and born in '66
Kiprusoff started his NHL career in 2001 and was born in '76.
It's likely that Nick Kypreos was Kipper longer than Kiprusoff. But Homer on...

Kipprusoff was the better player. So he gets the name.

The easy thing to do is take everything Polak says with a grain of salt.
Also Treliving himself has said he has no problem with players over-ripening in the AHL. If Detroit is the model to follow, ( I doubt anybody will disagree) they just had their first player in a 25 years (Dylan Larkin) make the team as a teen. That is what patience is all about.
So yeah, it's pretty dumb to call Klimchuk and Poirier ''heading into bust territory'' when they very well might play there another couple years before having a real shot of making the team.

Yeah hilarious argument considering one doesn't even claim the name Kipper, but rather Kyper.
