Surprised that people who have been fans since the Iginla years think a 4-0 lead is safe let alone 4-1

Am watching the Punjabi pbp call on this game (Omni TV). It is actually quite fun and I don't have to listen to Gary Galley!

I'd rather see Ramo get the goose egg instead of the Iginla goal.

Monahan is a different player this season. He's more defensively reliable and stronger on face offs, but he's not displayed any offensive flair. He only seems to be effective when he's the trigger man. Carrying the puck into the zone hasn't been good.

Big difference from the guy that would scream up the ice, slam on the brakes, watch the dman go sliding by and then shelf the puck over the goalie's shoulder.

I miss that guy.

No, seriously. The term "Alex Tanguay syndrome" refers to guys who pass up a great shot to force a pass.

I'm thinking of switching to the Avs feed for the 3rd period. It's usually pretty good for a laugh

When your linemates are Joe Sakic and Jarome Iginla, you choose pass a lot.

I've been a Flames fan for the better part of the past 10 years, so I've seen Tanguay play lots, and I get where the name comes from. But to say that a player with almost 300 goals to his name never shoots is ridiculous.

I Looked at the Score app and saw it was 4-0. WTF unbelievable Right now I wouldn't care if Iggy scored his 600th

Tanguay would play a no-look drop pass before shooting on a breakaway. Fact

Shut up, I'll shoot when I want to!!!! Anyone remember that famous sig from the Tanguay era? I forgot who had it, but I laughed every time he posted.

Excellent period. They've gotta keep their foot on the gas though. I still don't feel safe, even with a 4-0 lead.

Looks like some line juggling with the lead now?

@KristenOdlandCH:

Hudler replaced by Jooris on the Granlund/Bennett line.

Now Bennett/Monahan/Colborne.

So far tonight Jooris has a goal and an assist, a +2, and 75% in the dot. I think he's earning his spot back.

The lineup difference is Gaudreau and his skill and confidence, whose been a bit of a puck hog the last few games which is uncharacteristic.
