Flames are fortunate that guys like Monahan and Gaudreau hit the NHL in stride and even Bennett has done pretty well given the Flames lack secondary scoring talent. Some of these guys just don't translate so prospects are just that and guarantee nothing.

When did I claim he had? I said top 10, I never said they were #1 and 2.

It would have been hilarious to watch you type all that I bet. Hopefully our opinion of leaf prospects doesn't cause you to develop a nervous twitch.

Better to think of that for you and not the actual content.
I use facts. Hearing people trying to believe Nylander and Marner aren't top NHL prospects is delusional.

I actually agree with you that Nylander is being underated by Flames fans. I just don't understand why you care so much. Do you think we should all be as high on him as you are?

No, but I do compliment teams I hate and recognize their strengths.

If Nylander was a top pick of any other team would anyone have any doubts? He's produced at every level. A true blue chipper and a top 10 NHL prospect.

Mitch Marner: 5'11, 159 LBS
Johnny Goudreau-5'9, 157 LBS. (And Johnny is 4 years older).

Nylander is small, and more importantly, he's soft.
But my point was that they are BOTH small. Yes, Gaudreau is small but has managed to make it anyway.
The problem that the Leafs have is that BOTH guys are small, and they play the same way.

34 points currently leads the entire AHL in scoring by 6 points.

The fact he is 19 makes it even more impressive.

121 College games vs only 34 in AHL.
Comparing Shultz to Nylander makes zero sense and is very weak.

No you were clearly trying to say it's being made a big deal because he's a Leaf.

What matters is what they do in the NHL. And the Leaf's rebuild is flawed at this point because their best prospects are clones

5'11 and 190 lbs is not that small at all. You're exaggerating because of what team drafted him. If you're doubting him because of that size, then you're eliminating a lot of very good prospects.
Goudreau has managed to "Make It" because of elite talent. Marner and Nylnader certainly have that talent.

It isn't the same success Nylander is having 34 games and racking-up PP points. Good for him. Apples and oranges.

1) 5'11" IS small, but again, and more importantly, he's soft.
2) couldn't care less who drafted him - I never liked him and said before the draft he was a bad pick
Watching him in Toronto, I still feel the same way

So now the argument changes. Show me rankings where both are not top 10 prospects. I gave you an example. You've given me your crappy statements with nothing to back-it-up.
Here's another. And they have Marner 6th and Nylander 12th. That was in August before his AHL stats.

Then you know more than all the scouts. congrats. Why aren't you in the NHL?
Leading the AHL in scoring at 19 isn't changing your mind.
