Particularly good tonight. His situational awareness seemed very good and he didn't seem to give up a s much net as he often has.

Get this team a goalie please. I don't know what they are, but I know we won't find out until there's a legit starter in the cage.

In 2010, Antti Niemi was good enough. Not a top 15 starter but good enough.

'just sayin'.

Odd thing to say when Ramo was great tonight.

Maaaaan. I walked out of that place with one hell of a smile on my face.
Solid game from start to finish. Everyone played great, besides that horrible PK the whole game was just awesome.
Seeing my first game in years with a friend I haven't seen in years and taking him to his first hockey game. Priceless.
I really hope this game turns the corner. I don't drink much, 3 of those crack beers with that atmosphere, wow haha.

I forgot how fun it was going to these games. Time to sign up for season tickets for next year, hopefully..

Chicago was a far, far better team than Calgary this year

Didn't love the first goal against but I thought he was excellent after that. He made some big saves in the 3rd.

Good game again by the Flames. Really liked everyones effort. PP could use Granlund instead of Raymond but other than that little nag really glad with the last few games.

Also did anyone else notice that Bennett crashed the net going up the middle like the center on Granlunds goal and Granlund scored it from the left wing position.

Another outstanding Home game. Even though the Sharks tried to back down the Flames. Calgary just kept pouring it on. SJ is a tough win. Great 60 min by our hometown heros!

Three players really stood out for me tonight: Gio, Backlund and Hudler.

And not because they scored or got points, but rather how they played. All 3 have been quiet or poor all season IMO, but tonight I noticed all of them - in a good way.

Gio in particular played well. Best game of the season, IMO. If he keeps it up this team will keep moving up in the standings. Really great to see him get back to form.

I don't think Ramo was great tonight. In the first half of the game he was giving away huge rebounds on every shot. Even shots right into his chest he was letting out huge rebounds

Agreed, probably his best full game of the season. Skated really well and made smart plays. Wasn't perfect, but he was really noticeable in a good way.

Disagree. Thought he was pretty bad. Just doesn't have even average hockey IQ. The play is always like 2 seconds ahead of his brain.

Flames finally win when I attend. Just amazing watching Gaudreau live and how the defence has to adjust to his shiftiness.

Great game and we need to keep climbing.

That year marked the beginning of a dynasty. Ya we're not quite there yet. One day!

It would be interesting to compare that team to the current Flames.

Yes, that tends to happen when you have Marian Hossa in his prime. BUT if I cherrypick enough stats:

2010 Blackhawks Scoring Chances For - 27.8
2016 Flames Home Scoring Chances For Since Detroit Game - 30.4

2010 Blackhawks Scoring Chances Against - 22.8
2016 Flames Home Scoring Chances Against Since Detroit Game - 25.8

2010 Blackhawks Scoring Chances Differential - +5
2016 Flames Home Scoring Chances Differential Since Detroit Game - +4.6

2010 Blackhawks HD Scoring Chances For - 11.1
2016 Flames Home HD Scoring Chances For Since Detroit Game - 14

2010 Blackhawks HD Scoring Chances Against - 9.1
2016 Flames Home HD Scoring Chances Against Since Detroit Game - 9.8

2010 Blackhawks HD Scoring Chances Differential - +2
2016 Flames Home HD Scoring Chances Differential Since Detroit Game - +4.2

Solid win. I wish we could have 6 Brodies out there, he's just so good.

Just got back from the game and man oh man am I getting sick of the slashes Gaudreau is taking. The next ####### bag that pulls that needs to jumped and beaten to a pulp by someone like Engelland regardless of the ensuing 5 minute major and match penalty. One of these times Johnny isn't going to shake It off and end up with a broken wrist.

The Mac and Cheese was as delicious as ever tonight. Maybe one of the best. The Flames are still undefeated when I eat Mac and Cheese at the game. Unfortunately my next game isn't until the 22nd because of some other things happening. Hopefully the Flames can keep this home win streak going until then.

Looking forward to eating more Mac and Cheese.
