Tuesday I got an email saying (despite the site saying there were six left in Alberta) they were back-orded and completely sold out. Email just pretty much said I was out of luck and my order was cancelled. They did give me a $100 credit but no info on how / when to re-order.
Tried calling their 800 number and it was an absolute gong show. Took me 20 mins to get a person on the line to explain the situation, and they just reiterated what the email said. I tried to explain I still wanted the TV and asked how I could get in cue / re-order. They tried to transfer me and hung up on me. Called back and after another ten mins got their customer service and it was a soft spoken woman who could barely speak english. I tried explaining to her I wanted to order that model or see if any other similar models *were* in stock and available to be ordered. She couldn't even understand what I was asking. Absolutely futile from a customer service standpoint.
Tried calling one more time and ended up getting a local store. Explained what happened and was told the Vizio 4K TVs sold like hot cakes in Alberta and are out of stock just about everywhere. Huge demand has them back-ordered with no info from the supplier as to when they'll be replenished.
Turns out that location had one 65" Vizio 4K Ultra left in stock. I had been debating the 60" for $1350 vs. the 65" for $1789.
After all the difficulty trying to order online, I decided to bite the bullet and grabbed the last one they had in stock for $1789. Got it home that same day and it's mint. Got it set up just in time to watch the Flames-Ducks game and it was like watching it in a movie theatre.
Only complaint is the sound isn't great with speakers on the rear... but I ended up using that $100 online credit to order a $240 soundbar that was already $100 off. Ended up paying $40 to have it shipped to me.
A lot of trouble, but now that it's all settled it's a fantastic setup and a beautiful TV. If you can track one down I recommend it.
