Don't know. I guess having a bunch of different ones around (perhaps they will have a mixed pack) instead of having to buy 12 of Canada Dry, 12 of Dr. Pepper, etc?

One step closer to the day Keurig machines can brew a variety of cold beers!

That would be Keurig Keg

As an aside, are those SodaStreams actually any good? I've always just assumed they would be crappy. My only interest in them would be for Club Soda and perhaps Ginger Ale (for mixed drinks).

For club soda they're awesome, well worth it IMO. Never tried the Ginger Ale flavour so can't comment on that, I still buy Coke Zero rather than using a flavour syrup.

For someone who doesn't have a lot of space to store packs of cans and then have to deal with the recycling, this makes sense. I already have a Sodastream and haven't had to replace the canister in over a year however.

It's available now.

$400 for a huge machine that takes 90 seconds to make your drink, and $6 for 4 cans worth of coke. Total ripoff.

This review makes it sound pretty crappy:

Huge expensive machine, sucks power all the time, makes mediocre pop for more than it costs to buy cans. Not sure where the appeal is...

Yup doesn't sound worth it.

Will just have to go to Country Hills to watch movies and use this:

I can't believe they would have a machine, is that a joke? What are the odds that it just has big syrup dispenser in it like every other place that serves fountain pop.

Speaking of which.... How much is a canister of syrup? I would totally go for a system that would let me add my own club soda to real Coke or Root Beer. Can consumers just buy those?

Edit: NM, thought that was a giant Keurig machine.

The website lists packs of four pods for $5.99. That's four 8 oz servings of Coke for $5.99.
That's less than a litre of pop for $6. It's way cheaper to buy it at a liquor store than make it with a Keurig Kold.

I found this. I feel very tempted to travel to the states and pick up a 5 gallon bag of syrup.

Why not just go to the bottling plant here in Calgary and buy one?

Can you? I always assumed the syrup for commercial use was in some kind of proprietary container to work with the machine.

That used to be the case, but now they come exactly the same as in your link. Or at least any restaurant I've seen the back of recently has the same looking setup.

Wow, what an unbelievably terrible deal. I like how the website makes some bold statement about the endless possibilities to fulfill your soda fantasy and then has 11 flavours. Most of which are Coke or Sprite. Lame.

Haha no it's an actual machine, all over in the US, the only place I've seen them in Calgary is the Country Hills theatre.

Buying one would be awesome.

Can you recycle the pods/get a deposit back? Seems terrible for the environment.
