^^^Agreed that would work but some have indicated they don't have a list and don't want to use one.

Aslong as we all pick it up after 6:00(big time) we should be fine. (I'd rather make my pick personally(go on guts))
Sorry again for slowing things down.

But if you know that you will be away for a few days and your pick could come up in that time frame, is it so hard to send either TOTF or Jiri your picks (dont mean you, I mean anyone). Its not really that hard

I think they'd change their minds if the alternative is losing picks until after the last round.
Also worth noting: decreasing the punishment means you could decrease the time limit, which could offset the losses created by decreasing the incentive to be fast.

feeling a little dejected......wanted some feedback on Havlat pick. Would anyone else pick him? What round?
My thoughts:16 points in 18 games pretty good. Go to guy for Chicago.
Questions: does he need more support? Will he have injury/suspension problems again?

He was my next pick. Should average a PPG if he can stay healthy. He doesn't have much offensive support but Handzus might be OK on the same line with him.

I think sending the poster who missed his pick to the bottom of the round is fair. do we want to finish this draft before puck drop? PM everyone in the draft and let them know that a time limit is now being enforced, and lets get this thing moving.

Havlat is going to be a stud if he can stay healthy. Even better if him and T. Rutuu are both healthy for 70+ games. They can easily both get 80 and 70 points respectively.
Great pick this late.

High risk/reward pick w/ Armstrong. If he plays with The Kid he could rack up the points...I had him targetted for the next round but looks like Sebc also had his eye balls on him.

I have doozwimps next pick but he asked for me to wait until about 2 PM as he will likely be home and may change it. Since that's only 30 minutes from now I'll hold off. If he's not here by 2 PM I'll go ahead and pick Rico Fata for him.

Not a great pick in my opinion. I don't see him as a guy that has much more upside to what he has already shown. And on a deep Buffalo team that will give more ice-time to some young guys like Pominville and Vanek he could actually see his point totals decrease.
But of course that's just one man's opinion.

I was going to pick him last round and at the last second switched to Dan Boyle. But solid pick none the less.

How did I miss Modano? I thought for sure he was taken....wow...we're all idiots......except for Koots
That said, I am still pretty happy with Havlat. (and might have taken him even if I'd known)

Modano went about where I thought he would. No question that the dude is dependable for 50-80 points, but he is also on the decline.

oops re-post.....DELORTED
(sorta)
Since this happened I may aswell say something interesting.
In terms of Kotalik....I pretty much agree with Jiri, there were (in my opinion) better players still available. Not a terrible pick though. We'll have to see what happens.

I have taken all forwards at this point. There are a few good goalies available right now, and some solid defenceman but some potential PPG forwards still out there.
All the top notch defenceman are gone like Pronger and Niedermayer but there are a bunch in the 30-50 pt range still available.
Not sure what I am going to do next......

I completely agree, and I'm in the same boat as you. if you take another almost PPG forward, you could miss out on a top 10 goalie.
I'm also not sure what to do next.....
