To be honest, the resolution to Glenn's predicament just seemed anticlimactic, maybe because they waited so long or because there really wasn't much to it. Other than that I like how things are setting up for the mid season finale next week. Definite high threat level from walkers, Morgan's stupidity, and Ron (Jessie's son). Can't wait to see what comes out of all this.
Gotta give them credit though, they had everyone talking about it. Good publicity for a non-event.
And OK, Mr Wall Architect Guy, why didn't you put the big lookout tower inside the wall, instead of just outside of it? Moran!
The Enid scene's were painful, and the kid going after Carl obvious. Ugh.
I guess that means the voice on the walkie at the end of last episode was probably the guy who stole Daryl's bike.
Just watching Talking Dead & Scott Gimple had a great explanation. It was important to them to tell a story about uncertainty and have the audience be in the same place that the characters are. I know I was expecting something more to come out of this particular story but gotta give it up to the creative team on this show on being able to create so much emotion and in this case, the uncertainty of what's its like to live in that world.

He would have still had to wait until the walkers cleared out. He was stuck under that dumpster due to the hoard, more than merely hiding. He is lucky that the hoard was pushing evenly against the dumpster, otherwise they could have just rolled it to one of the sides and uncovered Glenn.
I don't think the cliffhanger and resolution was well written or resolved, but ultimatley I enjoy having Glenn in the show. Past characters that have been killed off have been less critical to my enjoyment of the show - so I guess I'm OK with this.
Spoilers in case people are walking in and managed to fail to read the above:
Spoiler!
I'm kind of split about Glenn being alive. It feels really silly that some small items like tin cans could distract that many zombies when the local noise of groans is so much louder than the can itself. But at the same time, I don't mind the character so I'm good for a few scenes with him in it.
Maggie being pregnant still feels like a giant death flag. TVtropes, the time sucking machine that it is, even has a whole page on that notion. Red herring maybe?

I don't think they could have, there was like a cement half-wall on 3 of the sides. I suppose it could have rolled the one open way, but the fence was on the opposite side so not many walkers could stack up there.
That isn't a watch tower that was built, it is a bell tower from a church outside the wall.
Ya, my point was, if I were making a wall, I'd include a big tower that is right next to the wall, not leave it outside. The least of many good reasons being others could use it to get over the wall. And, unforeseen ones, like it tipping over. Plus it would be a good lookout point. But I know, it's just a show. I was just poking fun at the idea.
As for Maggie being pregnant, I can't see them going through a whole baby rasing thing, it's been done. So either Maggie and the baby go, or the baby gets it early on.
The wall comes down and next week is the mid-season finale. I wonder if they'll kill off a main character? Either way I'm stoked, I prefer the story when the group is struggling for survival, which really wasn't the case at Alexandria (minus the Wolves attack). I've been hoping that place falls and most of its annoying residents end up as zombie chow. Especially Deanna's annoying son. And Deanna. Not surprised by Glenn's great escape, although kind of disappointed. I like Glenn as a character, but that was pretty far fetched. How long was he under the dumpster? The walkers in Atlanta seemed to surround that dead horse for a long time. It seemed like they got sick of Nicholas pretty quick. Oh well.

Here's the thing, the more elaborate they make his escape, the less plausible it becomes. By making it simple, it made more sense. Crawl under the dumpster, stab the zombies coming after you and now their bodies are keeping other zombies from coming after you.
As for giving up on Nicolas, we have seen that before with other humans being eaten. Otherwise there wouldn't be a Zombie Apocalypse, as all of the victims would be fully consumed. They also mentioned in the hospital that the zombies will only eat bodies that are still warm, so a dead horse would stay warm longer.
Elaborate isn't what I was looking for, I agree anything beyond how he escaped would have been ultra cheesy. I honestly thought Glenn's time was up, as it should have been (IMO). He's escaped serious situations without a scratch a few times now. I really wish they would've had the guts (pun intended) to kill him off. As I said, oh well. Perhaps he still has a big part to play.
