Well wow. Chelsea absolutely bossed Stoke and lost 1-0. Chelsea just handing points out like candy thus far this season.

And Diego Costa could probably get a red card every game. That guy just has no discipline.

I think Morinho survives until they lose to Norwich on the 21st. Then, for the third time this year, Tottenham plays a club with their new boss right away.

And hopefully both games are losses for Chelsea so we can see them go towards relegation.

Its really interesting because I have no idea whats going on. Its not like Chelsea are screwing the pooch or anything, the players are putting in the effort but theres no creativity, no swagger and no results.

Have they quit on Mourinho? Maybe, but usually that results with players that dont care. They look like they care, maybe not necessarily about Mourinho but at least about their results. Hell, they're 3 points off the drop right now.

So yeah, I have no idea whats going on with Chelsea but Liverpool cant get their next match against them in soon enough. Get in while the getting's good!

I will say this though: I find the commentators saying that should have been a penalty when Butland came out to challenge Remy. There was no contact but they're saying that the 'challenge putting him off is enough?' I'm not sure I agree with that, isnt that the point of challenges? To put players off?

oh man, I'd be really funny and ironic if Arnautovic of all people was the one to put the final nail in Mourinho's Chelsea coffin

I think Mou gets a pass on that one seeing as he wasnt even there.

I'm still not sure that Abramavich is going to actually sack him.

I think he should back him and give him a chance to clear house.
One thing that can be learnt from Fergie was that he was ruthless when a player reached his sell by date or tried to undermine him. Start with shipping Terry out and if the rumours are true, Cesc.

Given his reported buyout clause, it is almost cheaper to sack the majority of the team and keep the manager. Plus, as mentioned, this is not as much his fault as others, given his success this calender year.

His fault may well be bringing in too many players that have an known expiry date, and some of those dates have come up sooner than anticipated this year, but he has the money and the swagger to attract players as soon as the Christmas transfer wire.

Don't think he's going anywhere; who's going to be better?

Plus, Abromovitch can offset some of his cash losses with the British press who I'm sure have taken up a collection to keep him in West London.

I totally agree. Unless Chelsea think they pip Pep then Mourinho ought to be their man.

Let him sell who he wants to sell and rebuild the team and go from there. Its what I'm hoping Liverpool do with Klopp.

Well Jose could also guide them a spectacular winning season next year. Albeit in the championship!

if he's not fired in the next few days, because of the international break, he's safe for at least a few more months

I'll stick this in here for you Man U fans.

7th division Salford City beat 4th division Nott County (League 2) in the first round of the FA Cup. Salford City have won in 4 qualifying rounds and now in the 1st Round Proper.

This is significant because? Salford City are owned by Giggs, Scholes, Butt and the Nevilles

If (and that's a big IF, but still) Tottenham hang on to win this, then the top 5 looks like this:

26 - Manchester City
25 - Arsenal
25 - Leicester
24 - Manchester United
23 - Tottenham

and there's still some local Bayern fans here who seriously wonder why I prefer the Premier League to the Bundesliga ...

Spurs played a great game today, but their failure to make it 2-0 when they had all the play led to a 1-1 draw. Too bad, but still in the mix as they sit 5th. A big game ahead against West Ham as they're tied today and Spurs win the tiebreaker on goal differential.

Not at all a bad showing though. I was impressed with Lamela and Dele Alli who showed some real skill. Lamela picked up a 5th yellow, so he will be our against West Ham. I also thought that Dembele looked good, and he's been on a nice run lately.

That was a frantic game today, Palace just have our number.

Klopp's tactics are going to take a while to work, you can see with his demand to increase the pace of the game the players are making way, way too many errant passes, but once again the same old, same old rears its head, two really poor defensive plays in our own box cost us the game.
