It's funny how I love the movies, yet I find there is so much wrong with them and it seems many a poster here feels the same.
As an aside, a part of me wished Yoda joined Luke on the Death Star to face the Emporer and Vader. It would have given Yoda a chance at redeeming himself for his failure to destroy the emperor in Episode 3.
Then as the battle ensued between the 4 of them, Palpatine kills Yoda, enraging Luke. It would have made Luke's internal struggle with his feelings even more epic. And when Luke ultimately chooses to save his father instead of destroying him, it would have proved even more that Luke is the greatest and wisest of all Jedis.
Man I can't wait to see what the new one has in store!

I never really got the hate for the Ewoks, and as a kid I hat a Wicket and Logray action figure. I also had the forest trooper on a speeder bike and used to have the Ewoks setup traps and make the speederbike explode. So ya, as a kid I had fun with Ewoks. Do I need to hang my head in shame?

I'm really curious if it's just a bad design, or if he amped it up so far that it needs vents and the beam is unstable. It would be pretty cool if he could break through another lightsaber through sheer power, and give more purpose behind the greatsword design

I had a bunch of storm troopers and in my world the Cylon's came along to help, and in the end they all had a nice BBQ and everyone got a new scarf

I think there was an infinities comic where that happened. And Vader, Luke and Yoda turned on the Emperor and Yoda crashed the Death Star into Coruscant and Vader survived and put on white armor.

I was thinking something similar. More powerful but less stable has been known to happen.

Lucas put the ending in there that we saw because at that point he didn't want to do anymore sequels to Star Wars, the story as a whole was the rise and fall and redemption of Anakin, and when that all happened it was over, happy ending time.
|
If you look into it, it was Gary Kurtz (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back) that revealed the criticisms of Lucas' decisions to sell toys rather than make good movies as well as quitting ROTJ over things like the change to a happy ending, etc. The Luke walking into the sunset thing is very real.

If I remember my lore right, the crystals that the jedi use are natural, and selected and are just basically put into a light sabre as is. With the Sith, because of their banishment they had to learn to make a synthetic crystal which also gives them the blood red color, Its possible that Kylo has never learned how to build a crystal properly, which is one of the lessons passed down from master to apprentice.

Damn, that Tie Fighter shot with the Sun in the background is amazing.
The vastness of the opening shot is killer, man I'm so pumped for this.
