Yesterday they didn't stop showing the hat tossing on the ice by the Habs...

Today, they didn't show any hat tossing. I'm not even sure there was any since they refused to show. Anyone physically there to report ?

Or it was because Hamilton only got 12 minutes.

Or it was because we had more contributors tonight than not, and it would be nice if we could enjoy a win without throwing anyone under the bus.

Don't get me wrong, the win is great (especially considering it's Edmonton). But let's not ignore the fact that this team is still getting mediocre goaltending. Another 4 goals against on only 23 shots.

I think he is referring to the awful goal Khabibulin let in off David Moss back in 2009 with seconds left as well.

That particular end of the Oiler's rink has been responsible for some very crazy goals, beneficial to the Flames, over the years.

Frolik seems to always make the right play. Hardly ever makes the wrong play. dumps it in when he should and carries it in when he should. Great addition to the team.

I really like Backlund and always defended him but I think he is now expendable and should get a couple nice draft picks.

They spent most of the period in the Oilers zone.

One more comment - I know a lot of people are choked about that draisaitl goal on the rush after the Hudler turnover - but that happens to possession teams. It's still the right play every single time. The Flames could have turtled with a lead but instead they were taking it to the Oil, the bounces just didn't go our way until they did.

So what do you disagree with? The flames deserved to win? Or that goal shouldn't have counted.

Bennett had an assist but that is still very impressive.

The Flames got jobbed on the Oilers' 2nd goal which was an idiotic call by the refs. It was pretty ridiculous.

Gotta say, the Oilers didn't look terrible tonight. They're fast, and Nuge and McD are for real. Klefbom's solid too. I'd take him. Painful to think they might stop being embarrassingly bad in the near future.

Though Hall is still a turnover machine, which makes me smile.

Needed to happen in the Ottawa game after his laziness on a goal, but at least Hartley is finally taking the proper steps.

We should also be happy because we ended Mcdavids point streak

Randorf calling Nugent Hopkins 'The Nuge' should be a face punchable offense. Seriously.

It's definitely nice to see some secondary support though.

I actually like Backlund quite a bit, but I forgot he was playing tonight. Is there a nagging injury? I hope so, otherwise he's been pretty bad.
