We were also quite a few games above .500 when that losing streak happened, and we didn't find ourselves at the bottom of the league when it ended.
We don't have that luxury this season. It'll be an uphill battle until game 82 if this team is to stand any chance.

Byron's offensive skillset is marginal, at best. His work ethic and skating, are most definitely good.

if you really think expectations were nill all of last season, you're delusional. The Flames were treated as a legitimate threat since December of last yera and that was due to Hartley.
