Have to give Hudler props. two points and a fight! what a goon!
Colborne was a beast. If he played like that every night...
and Bennett is doing everything but score. He's due for a break out.
much better effort tonight. much more emotion.

Hudler fight clip? Sounds like a Ferraro, to fight the Lady Byng winner.

Only caught OT while in middle of the Blue Jay screw job. 3 on 3 here to stay...great fitness by Monahan to keep on that puck in the zone to allow Wideman to change for Gio.

Yeah I just checked out the box score. Ferraro is a little punk, much like his father, and I hope Huds put the boots to him. I'm so glad neither father or son come home anymore.

Huge win. They were the better team for the 2nd half of the game by a long shot and this is the way they need to play every night and the wins will come.

There's no fight. Hurler was sticking up for himself with a couple slashes and then Ferraro pushed him. Ferraro had dropped his long before Hudler did, but no real punches thrown. Don't waste your time finding it

Smid really helped the team play a simpler game and did a great job of settling things down.

Gaudreau, Monahan - This is a tandem that will stick for a while. Monahan is they guy that will create space with his bigger body which creates room for Johnny to do his slick moves and hand them off for a shot or to a sniper. Last year we were wondering if these guys could do it without Hudler, and that OT goal helped show it. Finding that sniper/playmaker to replace Jiri Hudler and that line will do wonders.

Russell, Hamilton - I really thought this tandem did well together and it's only to get better as they continue together. Russell can be the guy who helps with Dougie in the defensive zone and can be a great mentor for him. Both are very good skaters that can easily move pass the neutral zone. This along with Gio-Brodie, gives the flames a 1-2 punch for defense.

Hiller - played a very solid game and I was very impressed. I'm glad he stuck to his work of stepping it up and rightfully does so. If I recall Hrudley had said Hiller looked much more relaxed in the dressing room now that there is a regular two goalie rotation as opposed to the three before.

How about Joe Colborne tonight though. He looked fast, confident and poised. Very dominate performance! I hope he can play like this every game.

Have to agree, he was a beast out there. My only concern was that penalty he took at the end of the first while trying to be a bit too aggressive. I loved his game but you have to stay disciplined, especially at those key moments in the game.
