Huge win. Could be the moment that turns around the season.

Also not to be overshadowed, but that was Jooris' best game in a long time.

Is success as simple as having 2 goalies only?

2 Huge Points!!!!!
I don't care if all their wins have to be in OT, that was crazy fun to watch!

Backlund, Gio, and Wideman made up 18 of the Flames 40 shots this game. This is the kind of game I've been waiting for. Finally a good second period.

Sean Kelso ‏@kelsohockey 17m17 minutes ago @NHLFlames coach Bob Hartley moves all players not playing in 3-on-3 overtime behind the bench to create more room for quick line changes

BTW, how about Josh Jooris tonight? He came out on a mission to impact the game and he really mitigated the losses of Bouma and Ferland. Hope he keeps this up.

Big win; even bigger with how they did it. Some thoughts:

1. Screaming at the TV for Wideman to get the **** off the ice for a change actually works!

2. I hope it's a good sign that the Flames are now 2-0 in overtime; with their roster and style of play they should have good success. Don't know what Hamilton was thinking dumping the puck into the corner though, but happy it worked out.

3. I wonder if we see Hiller make a run here. Recall last year when Ramo got injured late in the season, and Hiller became the undisputed #1. He pretty much went lights out for the rest of the regular season and the first round before coming back to earth.

4. Return of Norris Gio is just as important as Brodie IMO. When they both come back we should see even better results (fingers crossed).

That moment when Giordano scores a goal in OT, and you exactly remember the same goal he did during our losing streak last year in OT.

Oh Captain my Captain. Gio was a beast tonight. Smid looks better than Engelland already, he made an impact early on. Hamilton looked better.

Our team is built from the back end out. If the backend keeps playing like this, we are set.

Time to get hammied.
