I hope that is correct.

I hope your source is right, but even though it's close it's seems that Webber is pulling away, albeit very slowly.

I actually didn't like the results for the NDP. Yes Mulclair is a horrible two faced leader, but at the same time I'm concerned about a move to hyper partisan politics and a two party system like the USA. That is a scenario I'd never want in Canada.

My riding in Victoria had a Liberal (who I voted for) off to a hot start but the NDP incumbent clawed back into the lead after a couple of more polls.

Good Lord. Good thing they cut away from Mansbridge and Rae - it looked like they were about to progress to a 69...

My money is on Jason Kenny. They would do well to run a female candidate as leader.

I voted for Randall Garrison, but only for strategic reasons.

Who would that be? Ambrose? Rempel?
I hate to say it but the way Canada is shaped, I think the Conservatives need an Eastern leader. There will be an interim leader but once the leadership convention convenes, MacKay will appear.

Yea good point. Also the way things are setup now the Libs can do pretty much whatever they want.

Mulcair back in traditional NDP mode. Talking a grip about what they're going to do without any capability whatsoever of doing it.

I'd be surprised if it went that way. I think the majority is largely because of momentum in strategic voting and the ABC movement.
My guess is that the Liberal government will pull Canadian politics a bit back towards the left and that in the next election the NDP will be able to recover. The NDP also have four years to get their act together in terms of rebuilding their campaign machine properly.
