"From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys." - 2 Kings 2:23-24

I just find it surprising so many Albertans on this board are prepared to potentially vote for their own hardship. I have a sneaky feeling none of CP's O and G sector workers, are the ones throwing stones at the CPC. And I also believe that many of the people that are voting against the CPC, wouldn't be doing so, if their livelihood was potentially at stake.

Your wrong here, losing income splitting will cost me 2k, I work in o+g.
Harper is just terrible though. He has been bad for o+g. No pipelines, no income trusts(that one was good for Canada), and no foreign ownership. A failure at marketing our oil as ethical. For a guy who was supposed to be in big oils pocket he failed on all major issues aside from carbon tax.
Then you look at prisons, mandatory sentencing, long form census, funding of science, tax cuts for upper middle class, buying votes with your own money with the ucb, a fear based culture, the undermining of citizenship a distain for the courts.
And pretty quickly the 2k I'm paying in additional taxes is worth it and Treadeaus in the pipeline companies pockets already so I'm still much more worried about oil price than the liberals

This would be a first for Canada, wouldn't it, if Trudeau was elected? That we've had more than one member of the same family elected PM, like the Bush family in the US?

Jack Harris still within striking distance for the NDP in St. John's East. Behind by 700 votes after 33k votes counted. Still 31 polls to count.

There is one seat in Quebec that is on Atlantic time and the Liberals are winning that seat.

Before Harper, the Liberals ran this country for 73 of 103 years. I didn't realize Alberta was screwed for all those years.

Do not pretend the Conservatives are a good thing for the military. There are very good reasons why veterans are coming out in droves to vote against Harper.

I lived through the previous ruling Liberal government, and I didn't die. Things will be okay.

You honestly think any of this will change under a Liberal government? I also highly doubt we will see pot legalized either although I fully support this.
