This current system basically gives the finger to all Canadians who do not approve of the job that the majority government is doing; it is especially troubling when said government only captured something like 38% of the vote, meaning that the other 62% of voters have no say at all in terms of policy decisions.

Yeah, but decisions essentially never get reached. Reference a minority government in Canada that was very successful.

Some years the middle finger is given to myself. And living in harpers riding my federal vote hasn't mattered for years. Stability is more important.

Simple solution to that, abolish non-confidence voting and make fixed election dates mandatory.
