Apparently they did a bad job of labeling regular stations from mobile stations.

Sorry, I just can't trust anyone with the name Trudeau.

What our family went through because or Trudeau V1.0 is just too much to overlook. He worships his dads legacy, so I can certainly see him potentially pursuing the same policies.

If there ends up being a Liberal majority, in combination with the NDP Provincial government, this city is 5 years away from Detroit status IMO. It;s very easy for those that do not work in the O & G sector to root for Socialism or free everything for everyone. But even if that is what you want, you cannot deny, it does not work for this provinces economy. And you have zero right to complain when this provinces economy implodes farther than it has.

I'm very interested in seeing what BC does, as, from conversations with people in a few different regions, the province might go hard red which I would not have predicted at the beginning of the campaign.

I doubt very much that American oil interests are funding anti-Canadian oil groups on the basis of environmentalism. That is just straight up economic protectionism.

That being said, I suspect your version of the rest is going to be closer to reality than Pylon's.

There's a strong undertone in Peter MacKay's interview when he talks about how there was clearly an appetite for change... can't help thinking he saw this coming back a few months ago.

Someone screwed up big time. Without a party indication (name or a color bar) it is almost useless.

That will be great and all, but the sponsorship scandal v2.0 is what I am really looking forward to.

I really hope that's the case, but anyone that was affected, or who's family was affected by the National Energy Program, in no way could vote for a Trudeau.

Good to see them taking the Atlantic away. I've never been this invested in an election before.
I was also very pleasantly surprised to see the M-L candidate on that ballot. I didn't know we had a communist candidate.

I can't vote Liberal because I honestly don't think Trudeau has any idea what he's doing. He will win the election just because people don't want the Cons anymore. That's it.

Think this is a youth vote? That is what they called the Alberta provincial one, which makes sense. A bit of a different demographic who may or may not see oil and gas in their future

The $975 head tax on all immigrants coming into Canada?

Quote:
In 1995, for example, the Chretien government imposed a $975 “head tax” on refugees who applied for permanent residence. And the Liberals’ refugee processing delays and discriminatory rules brought withering criticism from advocates.

“This government has adopted a hostile attitude toward refugees and towards their international obligations to protect those who flee war, human-rights violations and persecution,” Nancy Worsfold of the Canadian Council for Refugees said of the Chretien government at the time.

But now Chretien is the guy wagging his finger at Harper. Oh, how the worm has turned!

Honestly, Trudeau the Younger isn't half as smart as his father was. Nor half as devious. I'm more worried about incompetence than I am centralist arrogance. Though with things like the CPP changes Wynne wants, I won't be terribly happy to see more of my money funneled into Ontario.

A Liberal minority propped up by the NDP - which would give Mulcair the hammer - would be worse. Half the reason I pretty much ignored the campaign threads here is that I really don't feel like there are any good options. But the worst scenario is one that has the NDP with any modicum of power.
