The issue is that a lot here expected him to be a good defender too, and he hasn't been.

This is bad. Really bad. The whole McDavid CBC circle jerk makes it that much worse, but what is the issue with the Flames right now> Goaltending? meh. Defense? Meh. Offense? Meh. Basically as far as I can tell, the Flames are not doing a SINGLE thing well.
I know it's early, but this is very concerning.

Or he's been just as good but that's not good enough because a rookie has to be 'better' than a vet for some reason to beat him out. It's not like Hiller and Ramo are good goalies or have a future here, might as well give the kid with actual potential a shot. Or not, whatever. Might as well let him rot in the press box instead.

I'm pretty over the team never being ready to play. It may have been a little bit cute last year, plucky underdogs coming back from being down so often, but enough is enough already. What in the actual #### is our coaching staff doing?
