They never looked this bad for a five game stretch last season.

I am very concerned about the Flames committing to Russell after this season.

It's strange how weak the Flames look defensively and on the PK. They really need to start making better choices in their own end or this could be a very long year. They seem to either stand around or panic. Just settle down and make the smart play.

By now they just have to give him a chance. I don't buy that he's inferior to Ramo and Hiller right now.
They'll probably throw him in a month into the season when he's nice and rusty. Then they'll bench him again when he has a bad game even though Ramo and Hiller have no future here and aren't very good anyway.

This is not the Blues they are playing.

And WHY THE HELL won't Ortio get a chance?

Not like Hiller or Ramo are doing ANYTHING to show they can give this team a chance.
I'd venture to guess that Ortio just hasn't impressed Hartley in practice at all.

Can all you guys saying Hamilton isn't great so far and wondering if he's the next bouwmeester please just watch that last sequence on loop for an hour?

Sees an opportunity, jumps up and creates a three on one, makes a perfect pass in the zone for a golden scoring chance. We don't score, puck turns back the other way for an almost assured two on one, except Hamilton, you know, the guy who started the offensive rush, somehow beats every Oiler back and makes it a two on two.

The guy is a stud and is only going to get better as he adjusts to a new team. Have some damn patience.

That was a pretty awesome effort by Hamilton to jump into the play on the shorthanded chance and then get back to avoid a 2 on 1 the other way. He's a great skater.

If the team relies on a string of third period comebacks to get wins and points, they're not going to get very far.

Flames looked like garbage. Come on, losing to the Oilers?

This is as low as it gets.

The Flames should be totally embarrassed. As an organization.

Flames don't have a good pairing right now, not sure why they need to be singled out in particular
