What you say is true, it doesn't effect me, and it is true when you say that is how people approach their vote.
What I'm saying is, while I'm fine (to the point of being indifferent) with a womans right to choose, I don't feel that taxpayer funded abortions for refugee's is something I can rally behind. Getting a realistic number of people out of a warzone is important, getting them out so they can have an abortion here, is not.

Do you think we should reject pregnant refugees then. What do you propose we do with them?

I don't know. It's been pretty even, IMO, but that's all Harper needs to come out looking like the winner.

If they go through the refugee process? Yes, accept pregnant women.
If they decide when they get here they want an abortion, then yes, have an abortion.
Mulcair telling me I should be shedding tears because we can't get ALL the pregnant women here for an abortion? Gimmie a break.

I'm with him, though. It's of zero importance to me what the answer is, even though I am 100% sure that the correct answer is "yes" (IIRC Morgentaler decision was predicated on s.7 which applies to everyone, not just citizens).
Thing is, even if whoever gets elected gets that question wrong, it's of just so little impact in comparison with many other policies that it's barely a blip on the radar, IMO. These are the classic "get everyone riled up emotional rah rah issues that have little practical effect and drown out other matters that while boring, significantly affect millions". Skip 'em.
(EDIT: I should also point out that if they get it wrong they're probably going to get smacked around by the court given my earlier rationale for why the answer is "yes, let them have abortions on the same basis as Canadian women".)

Did Justin just say Canadians are worrying about our jobs because Steve doesn't like Obama?
*facepalm*

If Trudeau has a speech, he looks/sounds great.
When he has to speak off the cuff he sounds like a complete vapid tool.
Also, I'm getting very sick of hearing about how Canada needs to differ power to the UN, or form coalition's with other nation states to determine our own outcome.

Pretty sure Harper also said he'll believe Iran's words and not their actions.

Why? Most IR theorists and academics consistently advise in favour of consensus and cooperation.
