Oiler great goaltender Grant Fuhr’s nickname was Coco, which (a) more than a little racist and (b) supposed to be a double entendre for his known and apparently hilarious cocaine habit. It was the 80’s, it’s best not to ask and a good think people didn’t have cell phone cameras everywhere back then.
I have never done coke either, and likely never will.
I think a person labeling all coke addicts as morons seems more like a moron to me.
Same, and agree. Really what makes it any different than alcohol? More addictive, but it's the same general idea. Only that one substance is illegal and one isn't.
Love the argument of ZERO Nhl games. It's my favorite. Like 99.99999999% percent of the planets opinion is invalidated with this reasoning.
I am just going to use this in everyday debates from now on.
The coffee machine needs water. YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED AN NHL GAME. Therefore your opinion is NOT VALIDATED. Or your parking.
Well, when the guy is saying that something is widespread in the NHL, I think it's a pretty valid argument.
If you say the coffee machine at your office needs water, that's probably a valid opinion. If you say the coffee machine in the Flames' dressing room needs water, the validity of that opinion depends greatly on whether or not you've ever been in the Flames' dressing room.

Except if you're hanging out with the Flames players and they all are complaining about the damn coffee machine.
I do have my suspicions about some players for sure, just based on their career trajectories & attitudes. So tempting to discuss names here but I'll play by the rules to avoid the mods' wrath!!
Luckily for us the current Flames management seems to be obsessively collecting the most professional, intelligent & well-mannered group of young players in the league. I heard an anecdote when I was in town about Johnny & Mony going to a cocktail bar my friend works at – they were incredibly respectful & gentlemanly despite the fact someone asked Johnny for ID to prove he was over 18! I really think that strategy is going to pay off in the long run.
I get we are fans of the team, but I'd hesitate to say the Flames players are any better or any worse than most other players in the league.

Except that they don't act anything similar to each other and are not related in the least. Cocaine is an incredibly dangerous drug as anyone in health care should be able to attest. Having treated young, healthy people who have had massive strokes secondary to cocaine use, I find the assertion that it is just like having a beer with friends to be laughable and just foolish.

Touché. I didn't think it was all that much worse for the body than alcohol, but I stand corrected

One is a derivative that requires chemical extractions and multi step chemical engineering, the other is usually raw.
