That last one is a "can't do without" for me now. When we were renting while waiting for our house to be built, I really missed them. You never have to consider if you should turn on the exhaust fan; for example if you are leaving the house or going to bed. It turns off for you.
There's also a switch that's a humidistat, so it turns on and off based off the sensed humidity.

Humidistat controlled fans are a decent idea in theory, but generally, when you've got humidity in a bathroom, it's highest (and most damaging) at the ceiling. Those can turn off prematurely since it is much lower to the ground and often near a door (so when you leave, they can often shut off because they're getting nice dry fresh air coming in).

The timers are the way to go, especially since 50% of the time the fan isn't used for humidity and there is no smell sensing switch......yet

I have that exact humidistat sensor in the ceiling of my garage and have it set up to flick on at 30% humidity. I'm lucky if it comes on at 60%. My friend has the same setup as me and it works just as poorly.

I thought you were very mean to AMG_G. Then I looked a little closer and now I agree completely.

Not offended one bit because the stripper pole has been a pain in the arse since day one. If I paint it to match the wife will most definitely hit it. If I remove it my son's bedroom upstairs will come crashing down....oh what to do? First world problems for sure.

Is your son 18 yet? I mean you could have a garage with an extremely high ceiling or he could have his bedroom in the garage. Your house, your rules!

Hah, you are in a pickle. It would look sick if you matched the colour scheme of the walls, but for sure the wife would hit it. I think I would do that anyway, though. Then on the front part put a strip of reflective tape so she can't miss it when she comes in. That's a seriously awesome looking garage.

You spelled "make her park outside" wrong.

That's okay. I actually have my cat now and I really love it. Wouldn't consider leaving it in the garage at all.

Thanks Sliver. It doesn't look so bad when I put all my stuff back into the garage.

.10 muffin from Mcdonalds with any coffee purchase. Bran is good, and my kids like carrot. buy any brewed or fancy coffee and ask for a muffin and it's only 10 cents more.
