I feel like something is coming sooner than later. Hearing about the money for the LRT expansion and ring road will be followed by some kind of presentation for the new arena and SW downtown revitalization

Maybe the new arena, is a place within our own souls, that only we can discover?

I have not heard anything on time lines unfortunately. Even the information I was told was limited as per proper professional etiquette

and no I do not frequent orange Julius lines.

I'd love to be less cryptic, but out of respect for the process, I'm not going to. It's the Flames' project to announce, not mine.

Ok different question - Muta, what is the percentage chance of an announcement within the next week?

So that is what KK has been getting at this whole time. It's a literal arena in our minds!!

All we had to do was believe and it will be so. I am so zen right now.

Need to start a poll - Will the Flames win a Stanley Cup first? Or get a new arena announcement first? Or Neither

They'll build the arena and open it just in time for the Flames to play Game 7 of the finals in it and win the Cup.

All I can see so far from this is that the arena will be much better than Rogers Place. That's saying a lot too because I'm very impressed with their arena as well.

Stanley Cup first for sure.

I'm even leaning towards Monahan and Gaudreau retiring before shovels hit the ground for this project.

As I've said before, it's painfully obvious that the Flames are being way too ambitious with this arena.

sorry, out of respect for the person who told me its better to not say anything(edit) specific.

don't worry about the Firestone location its not there unless something takes a major turn.

It is very trans-formative for the city

things will be well integrated into current infrastructure.

Can confirm. Some of the information in this thread will end up being true.

So far from what? There hasn't been any sort of announcement.

I disagree. When you're talking about a huge asset thats going to last 30-50 years or more then get it all done at once. It makes more sense that way than it does to spread it out and do it piecemeal.

Organizing the logistics and funding for one huge project is much easier, and in the long-run probably cheaper, than doing it for 2-3 big projects.
