I'm excited to start using some new weapons.
I rely too much on fatebringer/black hammer/gally for PvE.
I'm bummed about the pulse rifle nerf though, because I just got into crucible, and red death is the one gun that has really worked well for me.
I have a few of the more popular vanilla auto rifles so maybe I'll find one of those fits me nicely.
That's pretty much my loadout too.. Throw in the Found Verdict when I'm not using a sniper.
I'm curious with how much they are going to nerf the wolfpack rounds. Still need to keep the exotic tag, so I wonder if it'll just be like a launcher with cluster bombs, only those clusters track to the target... So I guess a hunger with tracking clusters. Wouldn't be overpowered, but still powerful.
My buddy is going to be pretty happy with the last word changes, he pretty much only fires that gun from the hip

Not too fussed about all the other changes to be honest. Looks like TLW just got even deadlier in close, which is perfect for me since I choose to use it as hip fire fusion / shotgun alternative, and snipe people in mid to long range.
Curious the impact to field scout though. That is the perk that primarily keeps me using Praedyths for pvp. If the extra ammo isn't a factor, I might just start using my Low Grade instead.

A quick thanks to Anduril for the Trials run he did with me on the weekend. Taught me a number of things, and while I still have a long way to go to get some decent Trials runs, I feel like I am much better educated now. Just need to grind away some practice each weekend!

Managed to go 9-0 last night on arguably my worst map.
Had some pretty wild games. We were down 4-0 a couple times and took 5 straight to win.
One particular game my teammates were both down, and I had a sliver of life left (it was tied 4-4). Managed to pop blade dancer, and blink on top of one of them to get my life back, that led to getting the other two. Then their warlock res's, but by this time I've picked up both of my guys. Then he res's his buddy and starts chucking nades everywhere. Chaos ensues, and I end up no-scoping the res'd warlock with my sniper rifle after he had killed my teammates with grenades and I was one shot. Pretty epic stuff.
Ended up with a void Scholar as the reward.

My next purchase is the Kinect so I can just yell "record that" and move on. Honestly, I was so amped up (and my team was going crazy), that it didn't even cross my mind to grab the clip until it was too late.

I'm happy about a majority of the weapon changes. Maybe Crucible will stop being a thorn fest. Though I mind that less since my Last Word has a higher TTK than Thorn anyway. Nerfing Shot Package and Final Round are definitely good things too.
The only changes that are really making me scratch my head are the Black Hammer and Ice Breaker nerfs? Gjallarhorn I totally understand. But why these two? I never saw either of these weapons being abused in either PvP or PvE. Those two are by far the dumbest in what otherwise looked like reasonable changes.
I can understand the logic behind the nerf...Icebreaker and Black Hammer allowed you to sit back out of danger and snipe indefinitely (depending on your skill in Black Hammer's case).
I just don't think I've seen anyone complain about it, or request a nerf.
It's not out of character or Bungie and Destiny though...they want you to play Destiny the way they "intended".
Tried playing rumble today in the crucible thanks to a bounty. Let's just say I don't think I'll do well in Trials.

The problem is the indefinite part. Thinking about it, it's probably also a patch against future cheeses that may be discovered by the community for new content. We've already got the top ledge for Oracles, same thing with the Bridge section of Crota...I'd be willing to bet that they're also doing this to prevent anymore instances of cheesing being viable.
After playing Iron Banana for 4 hours this morning, I've determined that you essentially need to run with a team in order to rank up...
I'm not amazing in crucible, but I was finishing at the top of my team every single game, with a decent k/d, and at least 3-4 caps, and the rest of my team was sitting at like 0.3 k/d with 1-2 caps.
I think I only won 3-4 games over that stretch!

Depends on your team. Sometimes I find I do better on my own than with my crew lol. On your own, you generally get teamed up with other solo players. So it's sorta fair. As a team of 6, we generally get teamed up with other groups of 4-6. We are not good at communicating with each other lol. Just lots of screams, panicking and laughing. It's hilarious, until you hit one of those 10 game losing streaks lol.

Did Iron Banner for the first time as well. Is the only way to increase your Iron Banner rank/standing through the bounties themselves? Does the act of playing in matches, getting kills etc contribute at all as it does with the Crucible? If it's strictly bounty based, yikes! Especially considering it resets with each Iron Banner cycle.
I think only wins give points, and then obviously the bounties.
At least that's the way it felt.
