I will never get the Chinese culture. Spend $85,000 on a car...obsess about saving $25 on a BluRay player.

Are those even real "BMWs" over there? I drove in my sister-in-laws while we were there and it certainly did not have the fit and finish you would have expected on a BMW SUV. Felt cheap and plasticky. Either BMW is slipping, or they have a different line of vehicles for China.

Anyway, kind of sad that the person would even have the option of not having the windows smashed. Children aren't property that you can chose not to save.

They have a different line of vehicles there. A friend travels with a German couple who were living in China and their jobs at BMW were reengineering models to suit the demands of the Chinese market.

As a person who lives immersed in a Chinese culture I am not even a tiny bit surprised by this report.

Well, both, but BMW in general is not the company it used to be even 10 years ago. It's basically drifted into becoming a mass-market appliance like every other car company, but with a little more badge snob appeal. Walk into a BMW dealer in Calgary though and you'll encounter the same plastic craptastic interior and thin "leather" seats in most of their lineup.

Yes but the child carries the same genes, it's only a matter of time.

I think the rule of thumb if it's a BMW is Red Tibetan Mastiff or greater. Guess the kid didn't cut it.

I guess I don't pay attention to other cars but my own. Do cars have a button on the outside you can press? Mine doesn't.

My entry level dodge journey if you have the key or the key is in the car you just pull on the door handle and it unlocks itself. I assume a BMW at least has that feature

by 3 years old wouldn't you be able to talk to the kid and tell them to pull the door handle open?

*this comment made by someone with no kids and no idea how capable 3 year olds are

Yes, even buckled in a 3 year old can escape from a car seat.

My kId sure could have, he'd unbuckle himself all the time, and he's really into cars and knows what each button does.(mostly)

If the kid is freaking out it'd be a different though. Good luck getting them to listen to or do anything when they're crying and flipping out at 3.

Default Mom Refuses To Break Into Expensive BMW To Save Toddler Son From Heat

The Abbotsford Heat have been deceased for two years, and while I admire this mothers drive to aid her son towards their goals; the China Wall has kept up-to-date info from reaching even these wealthy citizens. This is a dead issue as the Flames minor league is the place to be.

Some German wags came up with a Polish tourism campaign.

"Visit Poland. Your car is already here."

According to a friend who lives there, they have two versions of a lot of cars. One is built locally, and the other is imported. The locally ones are built cheaper, and the imported one is way more expensive.
