Any dissenters?

I thought not.

			Nice.
I guessed 6 years $6.25 million, so I'm very happy with this.

Don Sweeney: We are offering 5.5$ million a year for 6 years for a total of 33 million.
Dougie Hamilton's camp: We want an extra 2 million to sign.

Don Sweeney: 2 million! You crazy whippersnapper! Get the **** out of here, let's ship out this locker room cancer out to the first bidder...Brad's on the phone to ask if we want pizza? Tell him he can get that **** Dougie for whatever he wants. i don't care if it's just a first round pick and a few loser picks. Someone else's problem now. I will laugh last once the world of hockey find out Dougie's asking price.

Don Sweeney: Can't believe he wanted 2 million a year more...wait Calgary signed him for 5.75$ million a year for a total of 34.5$ million??? Was Dougie talking about 2 million more on the total contract all along??? I better not tell Cam.

Awesome cap hit. Does this contract buy any UFA years? I'm assuming he'll be UFA when this contract ends?

The funny thing is that we have the same cap space as the oilers but a much better balanced team

Sutter signed some great contracts. Regehr, and Kipper looked very good on their resign dates for example.

I think we've also seen a blueprint for the Money/Johnny contracts. Plus or minus 500K either way,I think the term stays the same.
When everyone's raises are in effect after next year, our core looks like this (obviously Gio is a guess):

 Monahan/Gaudreau: 6x6
 Hamilton: 5x5.75
 Brodie: 4x4.5
 Gio: 4x8
 Bennett: 1x975K

$31.225M for those six players. To the 'ship.

If Sutter made the fateful decision to become coach only and instead brought in a GM, he could possibly go down in history as our greatest coach and GM.

Instead... well, we know what happened.
