I get the feeling Edmonton is going to get fleeced in a deal for Lucic. They are going to need some muscle on the ice for McJesus.

The still have to re-sign Wilson, Ribeiro, Smith, and Fisher. Should be fine.

Nashville doesn't want to pay Stalberg to play in the AHL like they did most of last season.

I find it extremely hard to believe that Columbus would trade one of the best young players in the game for the third overall pick.

Pretty sure Riberio is not getting re-signed.

If the Blue Jackets think Johanson isn't happy there and it's only a matter of time before he leaves, why not?

A top-3 pick is about as good of an asset a team can have. I'm sure Columbus isn't happy about it, but if the writing is on the wall the prudent thing to do is maximize the value of the return on your asset.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
LA's Martin Jones remains a prime trade target on the goalie market. Moving him east sounds like preferred option for Kings brass. #TSN

I can see Buffalo moving their second 1st round pick for Jones.

With so many goaltenders rumours on the block, you would tthink his to be a buyer's market.

Dunno about that. A buyer's market exists when supply exceeds demand but there appears to be a lot of demand alongside a lot of supply.

No kidding. There is some upside to Bickell but his contract is a show-stopper.

The real question is how much will the Hawks need to add to move him.

Well... how much they should have to add to move him (IMO a significant something) is probably different then what they would have to add to move him (some GM will look at his big body and fistfull of SC rings and make a mistake and probably actually pay for him).

Like Bickell, I see Stalberg as a guy with only ONE asset plus "potential", that turns some Scouts or Coaches on...For Bickell, it is size and potential, for Stalberg, it is SPEED and potential...Neither has good hands for finishing, neither really backchecks with consistency, neither really demonstrate "hockey smarts" or anticipation of plays...and Both got to Q's doghouse, during their Blackhawk tenures...

It is "buyer beware" for both these guys...the ONE ex-Blackhawk, that is on the market that I would try to acquire, is Frolik, a UFA, has been a scorer in the past, has good wheels, has good attitude, excellent on the PK, seems willing to adapt to team needs role, has been well liked by teammates.

Jason Gregor on Team 1260:

"The Rangers asked for the Oilers #16 pick in exchange for Cam Talbot. Peter Chairelli declined, but now the negotiations and bartering begin. The Oilers would trade the #33 for Talbot, but the Buffalo Sabres are also interested and they own the 21st and 31st picks. If they are smart they won't part with #21, but if they offer #31 will Glen Sather opt to take the better pick and have Talbot in the Easter Conference or is he willing to take #33 and send Talbot out west?"

I hope Chairelli gets desperate in the end and moves 16th. That would be fantastic.

Sadly I believe the days of Ha Ha Stupid Oilers! might be coming to a close.. There is no way that MacT or Klowe would turn down a back up goaltender for a 1st rounder. Oh the times they are a changin'...

Lack to Buffalo for #31? Makes sense, since the Canucks don't have a 2nd and have a spare goalie.

Also makes them weaker with Markstrom and Miller running the show.

Much like Murray, I do not think Sather is going to be too pleased with his return for Talbot.

We're hearing Calgary trading for a goalie rumours everywhere, linked to Talbot, Lehner, etc., but I'm curious to why we've heard nothing about potential destinations for Hiller or Ortio.

I think Lack will end up a Sabre and Talbot an Oiler. Not sure where Lehner, goes.....maybe San Jose.

Well can't see them getting rid of Ortio. Interesting point about Hiller though
