Bryan Bickell has limited no-trade clause. #Blackhawks have list of 8 teams they can trade him to w/o permission. Need to ask for others.

The Penguins and Russian winger Sergei Plotnikov expect to strike a deal at the start of NHL free agency on July 1, a team source confirmed to Trib Total Media on Wednesday morning.
Plotnikov has totaled 44 goals and 101 points over the past three seasons (159 games) while playing for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
In 300 KHL games, Plotnikov has scored 68 goals.
Plotnikov is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound left shot that EliteProspects.com lists as either a right or left wing. Plotnikov played on Alex Ovechkin's line at the 2015 IIHF World Championships.

Was going to say something like this, haha. I think if Chicago has an opportunity to trade Bickell for anything at all, they'll take it.

Draisaitl and 16th OA would be overpayment, but that's what it'd take for me to move Strome.
For someone who watches AZ quite a bit, I would much rather them draft Marner.
|
The rumor did state a first wouldn't have to be added. Perhaps Draisaitl and #33?

I'd love to see the Flames trade up to #9 or #10. There seems to be a consensus top 13.
McDavid, Eichel, Stome, Marner, Hanifin, Provorov, Zacha, Barzal, Crouse, Meier, Rantanen, Werenski, and Connor.
At #9 or #10, it seems realistic that the Flames could grab one of Zacha, Barzal, Crouse, Meier, Rantanen, or Connor.
After that, many players range from 14 - 30 such as Konecny, Merkley, Zboril, Svechnikov, Chabot, White, Samsonov.

Has anyone ever traded up twice?? What I mean is could we trade up from say 15 to 9 and then trade up again from 9 to that #3 spot.
Just wondering if it could be done, not saying we would.

With that contract they might even have to add something else. Combine that with his limited NMC which will probably include only contending teams that can't afford to take on that contract and the Hawks are stuck with him.

Hard for it to happen. Teams rarely trade down without seeing who is available at their pick.

Every team has different tiers. If all teams on the top 13 felt that way, the flames aren't trading down

Bickell got paid for one good season and a great playoff run. Basically what is about to happen to Matt Beleskey.

Wouldn't be a bad deal either.
I'd be so ticked if the freakin' Oilers walked away with McDavid and Hanifin/Provorov.

They probably should considering they don't develop anyone picked in the 2nd round.

Not to mention whomever they get for #16 whether they opt to trade or use it to draft.

Still seeing lots of speculation that the Blue Jackets are willing move 8th + Rychel to draft Hanifin.

That doesn't seem like giving up much to move into the top 3. Good deal for Columbus if it happens

For a team with some cap space looking to win short term Bickell isn't a terrible option.
Only 2 years left on his deal at $4 million. Depending on the term and cap hit that Beleskey turned down could actually see the Ducks being interested if Bickell is sold as strictly a cap dump.
Capitals could be another team as they probably want to replace the size that Ward, Beagle, and Fehr brought to the lineup.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Stalberg and Clune (NASH) on waivers today. Those are not buyout waivers, but regular ones
Could see Arizona claiming Stalberg for salary floor reasons.

That would push Nashville 15 million below the floor as well.
