Because squiggs was trying to pull attention away from SebC by leaving him out of his townie list.
I am sorry for the devo vote, but at the same time, I think he was not taking strong stances and actively scum hunting. His game seemed a lot like someone trying to stay in the background. However, this will not keep me from voting for anyone else who is not actively participating.
I think that the Squiggs/peanut jump on Oling was used in advance of the devo town flip to show early that they were not on board the devo lynch. Why would devo not have been a good candidate? And out of all of the posters, I think Oling would be the most likely to at least not be host, if not town. Why would a host make that Day one claim?
I think squiggs is going to be my target today, pending a review of vote history etc.

Hockeyguy15 and Timbo both picked up on this. SebC saying he wasn't turned without even knowing he got the spore, I think it's safe to say he was Turned on Night 3 now that we know he was.
That means "Someone" got the spore yesterday from SebC, in my opinion. Hopefully they reveal because they weren't Turned.

Also, I think SebC found out that Squiggs96 was Host because of how everything played out but voted for him because he knew he wasn't going to last long and wanted to make it look like he was against squiggs96 when he wasn't.

I feel like I'm getting pulled around, and he's my number one scum choice. I should stick to my guns unless there's a risk of no lynch, and that's what I'm going to do.

What was the purpose of this unvote before the deadline. It added in risk of a no lynch and unless you were moving to mrK there was no chance of your vote helping lynch someone else.
So your move could only have hurt the town

I would think that would be a rule violation as to it hints or implies to the identity of the hosts which is forbidden.
Turned have their own scum thread so SebC would/could only know who was also turned.

Maz posted earlier there was nothing stopping them from saying who to target the spore to. So I've been operating under the assumption that given enough messages you could make it pretty easy to figure out who the hosts were.

The only thing that makes any sense,is with SebC nothing makes any sense unless you are SebC.
SebC implying his investigation process or whatever he rationalized as one pointed to Squiggs?
My only reasoning as to why he would do that was.
a: point to squigg because squiggs is turned and screwed up and Oling actually did catch him out. And he wanted distance.
b: drive a squiggs lynch on the back of Olings attack on squiggs.

Because Squiggs96 didn't want SebC to be checked. Read Squiggs96 post now knowing that SebC was turned and it adds up. Maybe even wanted to be obvious enough that SebC would find out. You can re-read my posts on the subject, and I would hope many do now that it was confirmed SebC was turned, but all of Squiggs96 logic didn't add up.

Other people made mention of it as well. Like I've been saying, it wasn't a small mistake
Squiggs96: "Host probably sent the spore to someone most people thought were town, Puxlut can't be turned so Oling is the only option"
Oling: "What about SebC?"
Repeat for 2 days.

If so I believe then that the spirit of this rule is broken.
Captain - Aside from starting with the spore, he may also send telepathic messages (no more than 30 words) to all turned players each night. He is not allowed to reveal his or the other host’s identity in these messages (not even via slight hinting). The hosts will know the identities of the currently living turned at all times.
I cannot see Maz allowing a message "No Spore to Timbo ggg Oling Puxlut etc
Nowthrough process of elimination yes but not in the time frame we have played IMO

I would agree with you Timbo, Mazrim's probably stopping anything too obvious.
But it was Squiggs96 himself who was being obvious. Trying to get the Government Agent to check me because "Host probably sent it to a confirmed townie" while conveniently leaving out the, very likely Turned, SebC.

vote Squiggs
I'm game here. The whole vanilla beans thing at the start was pretty awkward. I'm going to go back through the votes to make sure it holds.

Here's the post.
So the question is can you add like 10 names in one post as options of spore targets.

I would want to have a chance to turn someone. Since Oling has already been targeted, why not try it again? He's a guy you'd want on your side, whether you are the hosts or not. Since he is getting a lot of town cred., if I was a host I'd try and sneak this one by the town. I wanted to put the theory out there before it had a chance to be hidden.

I don't know for sure if you did or not. If you did receive it, I don't know whether you have turned or not. I'm not trying to influence only the Agent. I'm trying to discuss with the whole town where it might have gone. If you have a better idea of where it went, I'd listen to it. If you are not wanting to discuss the spore, and you are saying I'm trying to influence the Agent, it leads me to believe that you may have the spore, have been turned and are trying to focus the discussion away from this to save yourself. It's as good of theory as any out there right now.

Look, we had all agreed that SebC was almost certainly confirmed town by Mazrim's post. Now look at who Squiggs96 is leaving off when he tried in getting the Government Agent to check me.
A Turned SebC would be reading that and should be picking up the hints because they were so obvious.
