I gave away my tickets... Commonwealth is literally empty for SUI-CMR.

Manager getting in the way of the game to stall, thats awful and poor sportsmanship. Watching his game it felt as if the Chinese team went down with fake injuries in the last 15 minutes just to stall. Then Wei over celebrates his moral victory and comes up to the NZ coach with a smug smirk on his face, I would've shaken his hand, but I don't blame him for refusing either.
I guess it depends on perspective. If that were the Americans, we'd say the Chinese coach was the greatest guy on earth.

I would be happy for Cameroon beating Switzerland, but they only managed by cheating and wasting time down the stretch, multiple cheap and atrocious challenges. Hope they get roasted in the round of 16.

That said, Switzerland was abysmal. I was considering them an elite team in this tournament after they put up 10 goals, but today was a wakeup call. They're pretty disorganized.

I like the Swedish blue jersey more than Brazillian blue.

Personally, I think its everything wrong with soccer. Stalling time, faking injuries and playing for draws, makes for a frustrating game to watch. If I bought a ticket to the game I would feel robbed from what could've been an excellent ending.

Not just for draws. Cameroon wasted time for a win. In a sport that has a running clock, the team in an advantageous position will waste time.

Best possible result for the city of Edmonton. The US will play here next Monday. Can't wait for the American invasion.

Do it through ball possession, not faking injuries is all I'm asking for.

Huge numbers for women's soccer. So happy.

"At the same time, the women's World Cup continues to produce big numbers. Going up against the sixth game of the Stanley Cup final, the Canada-Netherlands match on Monday averaged 1.8 million viewers on CTV and TSN."

Great crowd. I hate to be a negative Nancy, but with all the dough they spent on that stadium, I wish the roof opening was bigger. I've been there a few times, and even when it's open it feels like an indoor arena. Not cool.

France up 4-0, England up 2-0.

Both teams need to pour it on to win the Group. Colombia will get one of the wildcards, Sweden still on the bubble.

France are 5-2 +3
England are 4-2 +2

Quality strike, and yet it's probably only the third best goal of the tournament so far. We've seen some really good hits from range.

Spain and Korea should be good, no faking injuries for draws in this one. Must win for both, a draw sends both teams home.
If you give up a goal, you gotta get 2 back.

I forgot one scenario. Costa Rica 0-0 puts Sweden through too. 1-1 and its a coin toss. So Costa Rica has to score.
