Is there anything worse than going to use the washroom to find someone else's turd floating in nuclear waste coloured piss? Just flush it and wash your damn hands after, it ain't hard.

Yeah, that was a real weird one. I always thought those incidents were either a stupid prank, or a bombed party guest who simply forgot. But I guess there are actually people who care only about their own comfort regardless of the disgusting thoughtless action it requires. It smacks of hypocrisy too. Oh, I'm so worried about a few germs for myself, I'm going to share a million with everybody else.
And then locking the door on top of that? In a home?! At a crowded function? Wow, what a hero! You get to go to the washroom but no one else does. That's seriously terrible two level of empathy. All about you.
Maybe that's where the saying came from. 'So you think your **** don't stink?'

The non-flushing thing...that was a joke, right?

Unfortunately not, some ####### at our office never flushes. Another thing that irks me is 2 guys on the same floor also put the tap water from the sink into their mouthes a few times and like swish it around making this disgusting noise. GROSS.

This tipping talk reminded me of a time I was forced to tip.
At game 2 in Anaheim, I bought a round of drinks from a beer stand in the concourse. Probably 6 beers total.
I pay with CC and the receipt pops out to sign. So I sign, no tip. Why should I tip when I had to wait in line and buy beer just like I was buying a bag of chips?
I hand the receipt back to the guy, and he hands it back and goes, please fill out the entire receipt. I was so disappointed in myself for not telling him to shove it, so I jotted down a few bucks tip because I didn't wanna make a scene or anything. What a jerk.

And why didn't you put "0.00" in the tip?

I also refuse to ever "order as a group" or "share items" at a restaurant. Women always want to do this at restaurants in groups and it drives me crazy. Why do I want to order 8 things as part of a group, when I might really only like 3 of them and then get stuck always paying more than my share? Splitting the bill always results in paying more than if you order individually, especially if other buy booze.
The other social convention I don't like is when walking through double doors at a mall or an office, the person approaching from the opposite direction will often seem to wait 5 seconds for me to open the door and duck in diagonally behind me instead of just opening the door directly in front of them. Yesterday an asian women darted in the door between me and my wife who was 2 feet behind me after I opened the door and walked through, rather than wait for my wife to walk through. I told her she was a moron, but I don't think she spoke English.
I also get people who seem to follow me every morning around the corner directly to the one door out of a 8 possible doors that I walk thru. Are people too lazy to open their own door? Once in a while I'll walk to the last door and just stand there, then the person behind me doesn't know what to do to, when it was 15 seconds faster to walk to the door that was right in front of them. Just laziness.

I don't like planning my own birthday or any other party that is an occasion about me. I find it odd. It's not that I don't want them, but get a weird feeling about inviting everyone over to celebrate me. I really think that friends should be throwing parties for their friends, not for themselves. I do it otherwise my parties would be rare, but it's just something I find weird to do.

At home I don't flush when I pee. It's a huge waste of water, but anywhere else that's just rude.
I don't sing the National Anthem. I think it's ridiculous that we still do it. I used to keep my hat on and stay seated as a protest, but I've calmed down about it lately.
Small talk at parties or at a get together where there are some people I don't like is dumb. I don't even say hello, and if those people try to talk to me I tell them to piss off. It takes a lot to get on that list, but there are about 4 individuals on it.

Yeah, I do it but it is a ridiculous convention given all we know about how germs spread. Elbow bump would be the way to go.
We did a poll a while back asking if we should retire the handshake and only 10% of CPers thought we should. Wonder if that would have changed at all by now. Here's the thread: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=120879

If I had my way, everyone would give high-fives. Don't you just feel so much better after a high-five?
Gimme five.
